Hello, I created a similar video about the world that I came up with myself, can you rate it?

Balon is really dumb.
His assumption about the state of Roberts rule was so wrong and he must really have not paid any attention to the ravens:
-The lannisters are joined by marriage, Tywin is not one to allow the westerlands to be raided and if Robert calls for action Tywin would do so, because again Cersei is Queen due to being married to Robert, he's a guy who ended 2 houses and had a song of it made, what do you think he'll do if you sack lannisport and try to raid and take salt wives?
-Jon Arryn is hand of the king and lord of the vale, all of them will go if he says so to fight you, and he's the hand so the king orders it he'll do it.
-The north is joined by the friendship between Eddard stark and Robert and they hate ironborn, particularly the western shore houses.
-The riverlands is linked to north and vale, and hate the ironborn due to the long memory of Harren Hoare.
-Stannis is master of fleets.
-Robert is a stormlander who is now king, all will join him.
-The reach will look for any chance to earn favour back after the rebellion, and sacking the reach will not endeare you to them.
Even without Robert they all would gladly march on the iron islands just cause they all despise the ironborn.

Greyjoy's are by far the dumbest house, they didn't have the power to antagonize like they did and it was their undoing, they have the proper legitimate advantage of the sea which should have been used to expand trade with other regions and be middle men with others using their powerful navy which they could get favourable alliances through marriage which can give them a way to expand land but their ways basically doomed them to failure since they didn't believe of a hereditary rule of power but through might and that couldn't leave the sea when everything was happening on land, each time a leader died their regime changes big with it making them unstable politically.

They are like Vikings who never reached the land and unlike Vikings never tried to actually rule land either or play politics.

2 changes would of transformed the Greyjoys, namely a proper system of rule like the other houses regarding lordship and actually making alliances, they had all the advantages of trade which could have been easy for them to be one of the most powerful houses within a few generations.

Though I think they needed alliances to do any conquering that would of had any result, attacking the Lannister's was a bad move, Tyrells and Dorne are the obvious choices since they lacked alliances at this time and would have the least pushback, most of the realm at this stage was in alliance with the King so attacking any of them with their measly force was suicide as it was proven.

They really are like budget vikings put in a era they had no chance in, with how they operated.

How did Robert not execute Balon Greyjoy?! 🤣

The problem with the Iron Born in this period and later is that they actually believed their own bullshit.

The Greyjoy Rebellion is hilarious because it gave Bobby B. the one thing he craved for and excelled at far better than ruling a kingdom... A war. Even with book material I can't fathom how Balon seriously thought Robert Baratheon was that weak. Robert overthrew the Targaryens. Balon seriously thought Robert had no power to marshal the strength of the Seven Kingdoms to beat his rebellion down.

The Greyjoys were such complete arses

Balon is unbelievably stupid in my opinion. His overconfidence and sheer stupidity basically had his entire bloodline wiped out. I never understood where the logic was in trying to take the north. Why? He could have teamed up with the Starks and played a pivotal role in winning the entire kingdom. Instead he decided to invade a few minor castles and take control of some rocks and trees. Dude is a complete moron and deserved every loss he stumbled into.

So the Greyjoys thought they were the imperial Japan lol

I never understood why they tried. Westoros without the iron islands is still a lot bigger and has more bodies

I don't understand why Game of thrones tv show started in 298 AC, so much happened leading up to this, I really hope we get multiple spin off series' from the producers of GoT because this shit is epic AF
