Vampire: The Masquerade Swansong Review "Buy, Wait for Sale, Never Touch?"

I’m coming from bloodhunt. I thought there would be some action but I was sorely mistaken

A Vampire game that lets you play as a powerful elder vampire is a cool idea...until you realize that the basic humans of the world can still talk circles around you unless you're prepared. Very immersion breaking in that sense. 😂

How are the graphics worse than bloodlines? Characters look completely lifeless.

This game looks like pants compared to the game they teased and cancelled a few years ago, instead we are stuck with a shitty online game and this piece of garbage and a bunch of graphic novel games...why cant they ever release decent vampire games? Vampyr on the PS4 was fun but also quite a chore to play so couldnt do a second playthrough lol.

aside from the squeeky voiced kid, the voices didn't sound that bad. they sounds comparable to Mass Effect/Dragon Age quality.

For the record you can run on Playstation if you press circle during those moments that forces you to walk

As long as it don't get bogged down by a BS woke agenda like people have been speculating, vampire the masquerade has a very bright future.

So why the hell did this come out and not bloodlines 2 which I pre-ordered like three or four years ago?

I was thinking about getting this today. Thanks to your unbiased review I'm gonna pass and start playing Bloodlines again. I really wish someone would just realize that Bloodlines is so close to what most of us want in a Vampire game.

Great review! I actually think the voice acting (other than Halsey) is fine — kinda reminded me of Mass Effect? Might actually end up picking this up.

I was never interested in this game to begin with, but now I know that this isn't for me. This sounds like a boring version of Mass Effect.

I think these "new age" RPG's. I've played enough of the classic cRPG to last me maybe a lifetime. But it's nice to get something different. Maybe it would be cool to have a game like Tides of Numenera but in V:the masqurade setting - I like to read in games, but I do find the visual novels too shallow (It's the short, dialog driven format).

I like the narrators voice. and the usefully info about games

The leveling system is maddening and nearly impossible to understand on your first play thru! They make it seem like you can put points anywhere and roleplay the 3 characters as you wish. But instead they force you down certain paths for each character so I failed nearly all my dialog challenges because I had points in skills that didn't apply to that character. I really don't understand it.

Why the hell are there so many Vampire: The Masquerade games being made when the only one people actually want from WoD is still stuck in development hell for almost 20 years. None of them are even RPGs and they're all mediocre. Nobody wants to play a linear story from this franchise or a goddamn battle royale wtf??? Text rpgs? Why? I could just play the V:TM pen & paper game. Dafaq is this? I can't believe Bloodlines 2 isn't even being made anymore and we get all this garbage nobody asked for. Paradox should sell this IP to somebody who could do something.

This looks like an open world vampire expansion pack of The Sims 4

For someone who is playing that game this game is hard as heck this game sometime make me feel stupid

there are no "races" here, they are "clans" can't believe dude got that so wrong. Race is irrelevent here, vampires are sorted by clans, with all members having similar vampiric powers distinct to each clan.

To much talking in this junk give me a 3rd person vampire game where I cam slaughter anyone I want to it and level up system

I played Bloodlines years ago and loved it, but this one seems....less somehow. So you can't create a custom character now? Or am I missing something?
