The 4 was enough of a reason to leave the 3, so yeah get a 5. I have one one the way.

My Fold 3 screen protector peeled as well and then the cracking in the crease also happened. I put an armor screen protector on it to prevent further degradation and that helped. I now own the Fold 5.

Looks really nice and im currently looking to replace my old A50. But the lack of microSD slot is an absolute deal breaker for me. My A50 comes with 64gb and i got a 512gb microSD card in it, and its almost full with mangas/comics and novels... We all know full well the only reason they stopped including microSD slots is so they can sell us different models with higher capacity at a premium. And Ill be damned if I ever support these greedy bastards.

Does anyone ever call out Samsung (and Apple, for that matter) for double-dipping on the profit margin that they make for higher-than-default storage on trade-ins that they sell as refurbs? They don't give you any more money for higher storage, yet they're more than happy to charge more AGAIN for the extra storage as a refurb. This is downright evil!

You forget the fact that fold 5 feels way thinner in your pockets than other generation. It's a huge beneficial when you get back pain from storing thick wallet/phone inside your front jean pockets.

Sideloading gives you so much more authority over your phone it's like an essential feature for me sideloading is so underrated.

For all of it's nice features and high end hardware, if it doesn't have expandable storage (micro SD card), I'm not interested.

Why is the battery so small? If it's gonna be thick anyway, why not add a couple mil' and actually have a decent battery size? Even a Pixel 6 has a larger capacity battery, let alone to make up for the larger internal screen.

You dont need to use that internal camera for selfies. Just use the external while open and you can see the image on the external screen when the cameras are pointed at you.

Samsung, please add app to count the number of foldings from the first day of phone usage. My Fold4's screen schacked after 9 months of use. Shame, Samsung, Shame. Pay 2k euros for mobile phone and screen is cracked less than a year... And BTW, screen change costs about 800 euros. A real disappointment and frustration, Samsung... 🤦

I am not spending more than $500 on a phone unless it’s guaranteed at least 5 years of OS support. Everyone steals the shitty things from Apple like removing the headphone jack but refuses to copy the good things like actual support. I had the OG Fold and it is forever stuck on Android 12 which is completely UNACCEPTABLE for a $2,000 device. They artificially lock people out of features and updates to push newer devices on people meanwhile Apple for all their faults at least give you value for the money you spent.

Interesting. I've been using my fold 3 since they came out and it still is pretty flat. It's been my daily drier phone since I got it almost two years ago.

I said it with my current device (S23 Ultra): I'm going with a normal phone again but most likely for the last time.

I feel like, with the 5, Samsung has done an excellent job, but I'm still guessing there are some issues that'd be ironed out until I make the move (talking roughly three years).

Must be nice having that US pricing my 1tb Fold 5 was 3k here in Canada.i get 1hr to 1.5hrs more SOT on my fold 5 vs fold 4. Thats a huge difference for me .

The inner screen has been a nightmare to deal with for me. My fold is currently down again after an inner screen replacement. I really REALLY wanna know the life of the Fold 5's inner screen is and any problems that arise

I haven't had any issues with my pixel fold and it is so much nicer having a pixel based foldable. the z5 doesn't seem like that great of an upgrade, but having had the z3 and going to the pixel fold it has been such a better experience.

have you tried remote desktop on the fold 5? i cant find it!
