I seem to be in the minority here but it’s not really about the jewelry, it’s about being deceived if she’s been told it’s real. When my husband and I got married, it was n a whim (after a few years of dating). We had no time to hunt down a perfect engagement ring and it seemed kind of silly since we decided on Tuesday to be married on Saturday on the river at sunset so we just bought gold bands. Months later he surprised me with an extravagant diamond engagement (post nuptial ring?). It’s amazing and I treasure it but could have totally lived without it but had he made a show of it and given me a fake, I would be peeved that he couldn’t be truthful. THAT is the problem. We don’t really know what else was said in this video or why she would even think that. While it’s a nice ring, it’s modest. It’s not some giant 10 karat diamond in platinum so I don’t think she’s some gold digger solely concerned with the value of the ring.
