As a person of Dutch ancestry. Proud of my extremely based windmill loving, tulip planting, wooden clog wearing heritage which now includes striking a blow against the Lootbox Menace
ОтветитьI have loot saved up for two years
Ответить😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьAyyyyy is that Tales of Vesperia OST I hear in the background?! Good man
Good Act man! 😎
Gaddamit i hate Fifa
ОтветитьMa man please do total war
ОтветитьAnd yet, yu-gi-oh duel link and master duel still exist.
ОтветитьPeople saying prices never increased, I ask you. Maybe games back in the day also cost way too much? The industry has grown so exponentially and that doesn't happen unless companies DO make money.
ОтветитьI feel like r6 is the least agreggus becose its all cosmetic u cant use actual cash to get thr packs and the only ones u can are event packs witch are like 4 times a year
ОтветитьI remember madden 11 (last one I ever bought) and MUT on there…I couldn’t and still can’t believe the money ppl spend on these modes in games they a. Know they’re gonna buy next year and do the same thing with and b. Claim to hate despite buying..actual addicts.
ОтветитьAnd none of this would have destroyed the gaming industry if players didnt keep buying it so whose fault is it really
ОтветитьShe even looks surprised when she says “surprise mechanics”
ОтветитьWhat happens when someone who doesn't care anymore. Done being ripped off by EA Andrew wilson. I'll get him. no threat
ОтветитьIt sucks that these greedy game corporations turned to these loot boxes, it’s nothing but scummy and manipulative; the only way to get something good is to pay up. It’s all nothing but a big gamble, and those who aren’t as aware to the danger of lootboxes are at major risk. Loot boxes and crates should be earned from gameplay WITHOUT SPENDING ANY MONEY. Great video.
ОтветитьI agree that lootboxes were shitty for mostly everything, but overwatch 2 losing the lootboxes removed all f2p ability to earn skins.
It sucked if you had money and you wanted a skin straight up, but like, now me and all of my friends aren't earning anymore skins, or anything, except for what the battlepass decides to dripfeed us
I can’t believe you put mass effect 3. It’s a great game
ОтветитьAny questions asked in this video: the answer is greed
ОтветитьNo matter what, the in game store ALWAYS works
ОтветитьEven mass effect 3 multiplayer had decent lootboxes.......a game made by EA had decent lootboxes!
Ответитьthe companies should have been forced to pay back every cent to their customers, that paid for loot boxes
ОтветитьI agree that loot boxes can be incorporated in games, so long as no real money is used to purchase them.
One great example of a game that does that is Hot wheels unleashed. You pay for the game and play the game to earn currency that you can use to buy the loot box along the way. That currency cannot be purchased with real money, but can be from 'smelting' the items you don't want. As a result, hot wheels unleashed becomes a racing game that has a decent progression system that is meaningful compare to modern racing games *cough Forza Horizon 5 and *cough Gran Turismo 7.
So long as there is no monetization involved, loot boxes isn't the issue. And let's hope that new Forza Motorsport 8 with it's new progression system will help innovate to make grinding meaningful and rewarding. However, they could immediately taint it with monetization and that seems to be likely, based on their other entries -_-
if a game gave you free lootboxes regularly it wasn´t so bad as long as they didn´t give you a gameplay advantage, HOTS had a great lootbox system for example
but honestly I think Battle/Season passes are better, sure you gotta buy them to get the good stuff but at least the stuff is good (in the games I´ve played at least)
look at Brawlhalla, 10 bucks for 3 or so months of missions that not only give you something to do but also get you like, 6 skins (with the singular weapons you get over 15 weapon skins), this all in a game where your regular skin costs 6 bucks
and Marvel Snap does this too, 10 bucks for missions that give you 1 new card and 6 variants, plus all the caches that can give you more variants and currency
Idk what point I´m trying to make, just saying that Passes feel just right to me
It's because their building a bridge!
ОтветитьResident Evil 3?
Ответить'Games have stayed the same throughout the last 30 years'
As an Australian, it cost me $50 for Modern Warfare 3, and Black Ops: Cold War cost me $130. Here down under, I have to pay $100 for AAA games
I loved the point Yuli made that lootboxes aren't bad, it's the monetization of lootboxes that is. I know a lot of people hate them, but I really enjoyed them when they were implemented well.
ОтветитьDont worry, 2 years later they raised the price also from 60 to 70 with also added Micro Transaction.
ОтветитьActivision would describe rape as “surprise sex” if they were accused of it
ОтветитьAnd now we have people begging Activision/Blizzard to please go back to loot boxes
ОтветитьYou just have to love the „the Thing“ clips 😂
ОтветитьThe prices "not changing" is simply not true.
We went from physical games, produced, transported and distributed, then sold in brick and mortar shops to digital copies directly available for download.
I'd argue a major part of the pricing earlier was linked to the physical handling. That's not the case anymore, which is why the prices are seemingly stagnant. They're not stagnant. Gaming companies simply take a bigger cut of the profits themselves now than they ever did before.
Aged real poorly, imagine having hope for modern gaming aside from baldurs
ОтветитьMicro transaction on dead space
ОтветитьI would blame the idiots paying for some digital game items... Gamers are the real problems
ОтветитьAnd what a glorious fall it was brotha
Ответитьbrighter future, Diablo Immortal, the pinnacle of loot boxes.
What can you expect from Blizzard, pathetic games for over a decade.
i fucking hate the battlepass.why should i pay money to do chores
ОтветитьAnd now here we are in 2023 reminiscing of the good old loot box days before the monetization of gaming somehow managed to lift UP the bottom of the barrel and dig even deeper.
ОтветитьI see your point, loot boxes are not spreading around as they used to be, mostly because the pupiblic became aware of its association to gambling. However, there is still a lot to be done. In Europe and other parts of the world EA FIFA (EA FC nowadays) 'Ultimate Team ' gamemode is still an insanely big with an enormous amount of young players, and the game still has loot boxes. Young people are still spending a lot of money on them and getting addicted to the entire system. There are plenty of cases on the news here in the UK. And south amarican countries are also big markets for this, as they have no regulation on this matter. 28% of EAs revenue is a large enough amount to absorve the losses of loot boxes games, as these are still heavily monetized. And this shows when seeing how far EA has come to defend the Ultimate Team 'packs' (loot boxes), with law suits and court fights against actual governments. The EA FIFA share in EAs revenue fully reflects it, and the most affected by this are young adults and children. I see this has been a little bit overlooked recently...
ОтветитьNow instead of lootboxes (which we could often earn for free) have been replaced with flat out $20 skins...
ОтветитьThat scene from Jurassic park😂😂😂
ОтветитьI wouldn’t even be mad if the loot boxes were cheap and u had a decent chance of getting good stuff, so they get a little from a medium amount of people instead of a lot from a small group. 95% of the people who didn’t buy them didn’t experience half the game
ОтветитьAnd now overwatch fans are begging for loot boxes to come back. We all dogged on Battlefront 2 but now we want loot boxes.
ОтветитьI love lootboxes so much. I think I have an addiction
ОтветитьBF1’s loot boxes were more tame since they were limited purely to cosmetics and could be bought with ingame currency that could easily be acquired.
ОтветитьWhile Forza Motorsport 7 did have loot crates before they switched over to a store with a rotating inventory system, you couldn't buy them with cash. And they didn't add the Car Tokens from older titles into the game either.
ОтветитьAh yes paying money to gain content that you already paid for in fun and enjoyable, kiss my ass EA.
Ответить
