I have numerous conditions. One being diverticulosis. My internal med dr told me no seeds. I miss them. Last week I saw my neurologist. Decades later..and missing my seeds, she told me that the vegetables that I ate for years and stopped, are fine. My Dr never said this! I'm doing the best I can. And so excited to be able to eat my veggies with seeds, because they are "soft seeds" just saying this I want my pickles, tomatoes, cucumbers etc etc etc. I wish Dr. Mandela was mine❤❤❤

Just add milk or water and have them as overnight oats. No need to cook them at all.

I've been eating steel cut oats for decades; so long ago that I don't recall when I started. 1/3 cup oats, 1/3 cup water, a bunch of raisins, a teaspoon of flax seed. Set microwave to 30% power for 6 minutes. A couple dozen frozen blueberries will help cool it off while thawing the berries. Mmmm..... But, my LDL cholesterol is still too high for my doctor.

Rubbish theres no concrete evidence that oats lowers cholesterol! The same as flax seed no evidence! If it were true why doesn't a pharmaceutical company manufacture a beta gluten supplement? Simple it doesn't work!

So many doctors say oatmeal is terrible for us; we are not made to eat wheat and oatmeal rockets your Glycemic index. Are you sayiong steel cut oats are safe or just the lesser evil.

This is my guy. I’ve been a health nut since the 70s. I went astray, health declined. I went back to Nature easily, I’m a wimp to pain. Illness is unending pain. Torture to me. I quit 3 meds never took 4 and I just finished a 48 hour water fast. This dude tuned me up. Big Ups to this man. 3 min and he’s laid the smack down on illness.
HEeeee’s GREAT!!

Just half a cup of oats? OIL? Really?!
I agree porridge oats are the way to go but you don't need oil and please always have a cup of them (in raw form) at least! I use a water ratio of 3 to 1 (so three cups of water with a cup of oats) and use banana and sultanas and golden syrup - try it!
Good luck all - best known experts that promote oil free life style are Doctors John McDougall, Dr Caldwell Esselsteyn and Professor Colin Campbell.

Many medical doctors go directly to prescriptions before suggesting dietary options like the one offered in this video.
Often, they don't look into a patient's diet, weight, exercise or activity level.
I prefer to look at natural options first. Then, if you need prescription meds, so be it.

It concerns me that if we drink and/or eat things to "unclog" arteries, then the loosened plaque will move into another artery , BLOCK it...and now we have an equally dangerous, or worse situation...certainly stroke or heart attack.

My HDL and LDL have always been great. Low blood pressure too. And not diabetic either.
Enter the Carnivore Diet - beef, bacon, eggs, and butter. That's all. 5 months after switching to that I had my blood tested and ALL the numbers were still great, no problem.

👍👍👍 .. great post, thanks.
My mid-morning breakfast for years has been ..
* Five Tablespoons Oats, Salt, Teaspoon Cinnamon, 1/4 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper. Put into a glass jar (a dedicated 500g Peanut Butter Jar) and topped up with boiling water to soak overnight.
* The next morning, I dump the contents into a pot to warm up and then add 200ml Milk, a mashed Banana (left to 'brown' for a while as this appears to sweeten it), the finely chopped banana peel, a dollop of Hazel or Peanut Butter and half a finely chopped Carrot. This keeps me going until Supper.
* Should there be spare other fruit in the vicinity (apple, mango, peaches, mandarin, pear, whatever), I substitute the banana with said fruit (or, just add it with the banana if feeling particularly greedy on the day 😏). Leftover Yoghurt, Fresh thick Cream and such has also found itself 'in the pot'. I hate food going to waste.
I make it a point to include, inter alia, a Tomato, Onion and Carrot in my daily food intake .. raw .. Peppers, Cucumber and Lettuce too.
Outdoor breakfasts .. I substitute the glass jar with a plastic one (I lower the temperature of the water added) and use powdered milk in place of the fresh stuff. The 'extra weight' 🙄 carting the pre-soaked oats? The liquid required for the oats has to be carried anyway .. just how, differs.
Post lunch snack? A slice of 'Basler Brot' (a local daily in-store-baked Swiss Bread .. delicious!) .. toasted if old, otherwise fresh. Soaked with Vinegar and Olive Oil. Add Salt, Black Pepper and Cayenne Pepper to taste. Top with Tomato Paste and then a layer of finely-sliced fresh Garlic. Yumm 😊.
The Garlic? I'm 74 years of age and have long stopped concerning myself about others' 'sensitivity' to the after effects of said consumption 😏.
