NO David, that IS free speech. You went on to say that those people are actually limiting that corporations free speech. WRONG David. Corporations aren't people. Corporations don't have free speech. Only people have free speech. The problem with our country is that we've allowed these corporations who aren't people, to have rights that would normally only be granted to ACTUAL people. How can you be so shortsighted David? You have become so tribal where you can only see from your own tribes talking points. Elon is thinking much deeper and he sees the big picture. You complain when Turkish people are blocked from Twitter for a day, but had Musk not done so, the dictator would have band them forever. To be fair, despite Musk's obvious obnoxiousness and hypocrisy, Twitter complying with the (albeit authoritarian) laws of a country in which they operate is hardly radical news. In fact, American multi-national corporations not complying with local law (e.g. in jurisdictions which have better consumer protections and business regulations than in the USA, such as the EU) is more of an issue.

I don't know how important it really is, but I wish the media would just stop using twit or writing stories with it prominently featured. If someone of some influence does something dumb on twit, just mention what they said with how much influence. Link to the source, maybe mention it's name ONCE.

You can not and you do not know, what Erdogans Gov Reps asked Elon on which accounts have to be censored. So do not pretend to know by generalizing it. The only equation which is true is: wether it's free speech or it's not. But if it is, the there is no censorship at all - none - nul - zero. But then you realze, that someone who calls your mother by her name to be a whore on Madison Ave. is not appropriate to be called "freedom of speech". Or what about calling out on threading or hurting someone? Is that freedom of speech? Where do YOU set the line and where would someone else set it?

Right..ok..so I guess nobody here knows how this works. So what actually happened is Turkish law limited what their people could see, not Twitter. What reason could Elon possibly have for doing this?
