This tutorial is very helpful and easy to understand. I play stellaris alot and there i feel like is quite different from this game but similarities still exist.. As he said this game is about ur dynasty and it's not all about painting the map.. This game individual characters seems much more important than stellaris where leaders just is there to boost some trait in the empire... Figuring that out by watching this is probably the most important thing cause i was looking at this game like a historic stellaris... Great tutorial 👍

The ck2 end date is the year the Eastern Roman Empire falls.

I wish there was less philosophy of the game and more how to work the interface. It was not easy to do something basic like get married. I am not sure I could do it again. The whole interface and what I am able to do is unclear. I understand it conceptually but not what I need to click on to get it done.

Oh god five mins into the video and the voice gets more and more grating. Can we get a walkthrough done by someone who doesn’t speak like they’re mentally deficient?

As someone who loved playing Sims, Stronghold, Total Wars, & Civilizations, CKII totally stumped me. It's not really a beginner friendly game with tons of buttons, where the built-in tutorial isn't useful, and the controls are not very intuitive. Also the in built characters look so alike, half the time I have trouble if I just clicked myself or some other character. 😅

I think only English speakers are stupid enough to read other language's words (Latin) the way they do in their language (English).

Just learn the pronunciation, it's not that hard, it's only the words and phrases you use.

One of the first things you should have done is identify all the icons and buttons that are ADVERTISEMENTS for the supplements. If you want to play the game really for free, you need a mod to hide all of these ADVERTISEMENTS to make this INCREDIBLY COMPLICATED GAME less complicated for the actual newbie.

The commoners of this world look at the ruling elite, and think to themselves that the elites are just playing a game of politics. This is that game. That cruel, unthinking game of prestige and personal whims using the population as playthings.

So, what this really is, is"micromanagement, the role-playing game"

I tried to play this game for about 2 hours as a guy in Ireland and got my ass kicked like 5 times, got so nervous I just quit. Hope this tutorial makes me come back to the game

Roman invasion was pretty important and the unification of England before 1066 and after 1066 I would say the unification of the United Kingdom important aswell

Im a bit late Here but, for anyone who doesnt have all the dlcs bought, you can pirate all the dlcs, and play the game over steam without getting any red flags from steam.

You don’t need a tutorial, you just need to play it and search down individual things. Btw the best way to unite ireland is to play as a viking lol
