In Vanila game (no mods :) ) there is allways patern in spawned ore deposits either on planets or asteroids. For example on earth if you look for Cobalt deposit you will allways find it in spot with Iron and Nickel but it use to be 50-60m+ deep. Same goes for platinum in space.
As it was said there are almost allways two kinds of ores on asteroids. If I remember corectly last I found Platinum on asteroid that contained Nickel :) Sometimes third deposit of Ice...
Just memorize those paterns :) [Earth - Fe/Ni/Co; Si/Ni/Mg; Si/Ni/Ice; Au/Ag; ...] :)
Thank you, I’m still looking for uranium
ОтветитьWell, that's not the best part of SE. I do enjoying mining but waiting for the game to spawn an astroid that i need, is very mindnumbing. What do you think of controlling a miningdrone straight through the middle of an astroid? I could imagine that it is faster considering the way you fly around the astroid and the way the drone flies.
ОтветитьSmall correction: Europa does have an atmosphere that ends at around 800 meters above ground level, so it is possible to fly around using atmospheric thrusters for mining.
ОтветитьWhat's up with your gravity drive? Are you using a script to control it? I just noticed that the artificial gravity was flickering like mad.
Anyway pretty neat shuttle you're using there.
Reminds me of a ship I made called the Hadron Collider.
It's all h2 powered, simar paint, and bridge is similar but smaller. Has on it a gravity drive and jump drives also.
All u have to do is push z when u wanna coast
ОтветитьWhat is "Oz"?
ОтветитьThere are astroids without any ores. They are rare, but I stumble across them quite often. I've tried the 25k detector before, but it makes my game lag. However, it's much easier to find all ores without having to fly around. Occasionally I use the 1k detector for convenience, but there is something enjoyable about going mod-less.
ОтветитьI played SE for around 2 years now off and on... roughly 1400 hours. and I just found my first Uranium Asteroids 2 weeks ago. I tried it many times and I just never happened. It is just luck I guess. So my game play style changed to reflect it as I never use Uranium for power so all my designs are compact and purpose built.
I highly suggest game plays with no uranium as I realized it makes power issues go away.
We have found platinum in the earth moon, but the deposits are rare. Platinum in asteroids is already rare enough, but the prospect of also finding uranium makes it worthwhile.
Ответитьi think im luckiest and unluckies man in space engineers im finding almost every single platinum ore depots on asteroid surface but for searching uranium im looking like 5/6 hours and cannot find
ОтветитьI like to use the Azimuth overclocked ore detectors, 5km is the setting I use...there are many asteroids with no ores, just stone. Guess they're from Colorado..lmffao
ОтветитьPlay it with AQD Ores or Procedurally Generated Ores....the only place you'll get Uranium is the Alien planet. Using the vanilla ore distribution in the game is far too easy
ОтветитьIs there infinite Uranium in space?
and if i mine all of it somehow, will Uranium respawn?
say i play for years and years on the space map, is it possible to be completely out of uranium?
beg to differ ive found over 14 plat veins and 0 uranium i play on a multiplayer server but im also in a sector that is unpoppulated as in there isnt anyone else within 1000km
ОтветитьVery frustrating indeed. I have now searched 108 plus objects in vanilla and no platinum. I'm using modified rescue pod so I do have a large grid ore detector. May be time to get help.
Ответитьcheck the roids for the ore lol i didnt even need to make video lol
When it comes to drilling I have found that you get more ore with the drill attachments. The hand drill gets a similar amount but not quite as much.
ОтветитьExcellent video lad, really useful. Hate to be that guy but Silicon isn't spelt with an 'e' unless you're talking about implants or bathroom sealant.
Ответитьlol moon is so much better for mining platinum, there are colored spots where ore deposits are there
Ответитьnice ship, have any tutorial to assemble ?
ОтветитьAy Earther! Leave them astroids alone! They belong to the boss man Marco Inaros and the Free Navy!
ОтветитьSeem I am lucky, while watching your video I found my first Pt deposit ever in game :3 It take 2 hours for me, as I take off from Desert Planet to Earth's Moon, and found it on unexpected asteroid while I was drilling ice to refuel my ship. Now all way back to home planet 500km journey. 🚀
ОтветитьDont do this, eather go to a moon or wait for an ai ship to spawn to u can harvest its engines for plat.
ОтветитьYou can speed up your process a bit by hitting the <ENTER> key and then typing "/gps Iron" or "/gps Uranium". It will automatically append "_2", "_3" if you type in the same text multiple times.
ОтветитьComment before watching the video. Have you considered getting uranium from the buyable ships?
ОтветитьI found platinum on earth like!!!! WTF
ОтветитьYou can find platinum on all moons. It has nothing to do with atmosphere.
ОтветитьWhat is with you guys... I wanted a tip on how to find uranium... you're the first hit google gave me and I'm supposed to sit through a 45 minute video?
ОтветитьIf you not running Ore+ mod which just increases the detection range which imo is very reasonable as a time saver you could just build a mole ship with a standard detector and right click bore through the asteroids quickly and watch for any ores.
ОтветитьCan you find platinum on or near mars
ОтветитьI think i have been unlucky, as i found a majority of the white/light grey asteroids are empty.
ОтветитьThis was really helpful, I'm a new player and reached space for the first time yesterday.
Haven't found Uranium or Platinum yet, but I didn't search as thoroughly as you did.
I love the look of your ship by the way!
found multiple sources of platinum. still never found uranium :\
ОтветитьMy father mined actual uranium in Elliot Lake ON Canada. There's lot's still there...
ОтветитьGuess what I'm looking for tonight...
One thing you definitely made me realize, I need more H.
I only started playing this game recently.. learned a few hard lessons.
But 1) more fuel & 2) more exploration
the problem with using mods is that if you don't play with them you probably would use a small ship with a large grid ore detector attached. can decently scan entire asteroids if you fly around. A Hand Drill really sucks.
ОтветитьHow do i mine it with the hand drill? I have level 2 hand drill and when i drill into the ore it just dissapears
ОтветитьI wish Keen had added Ore Surveyor to it's new automatons update. Create a drone with this on it and it flies (within a specified range) and GPS marks all the Ore locations it can find.
ОтветитьNO platinum on planets?
ОтветитьThere is another way (if you haven't made a video of that). Turn you planet from Safe to Cataclysmic with a low number of meteors. I ended up with Pt and U from all of the meteors.
ОтветитьI ended up here because I've flown 300 km and found everything but Platinum, it's a little frustrating.
ОтветитьDid they change the uranium appearance? it looks differently in my game...
ОтветитьIs your UI a mod? It looks so different from mine.
ОтветитьYou can also find platnuum on titan
ОтветитьJust finished building your Altas on my survival server dude its the best ship on the server
ОтветитьI have seached 100 asteroids and have yet to find uranium
Ответитьi found plat twice so far but haven't stumbled across uranium yet. sad
Ответить
