Weird . I was watching this on my phone in the audio cut out right when she did the speaker test and started back up again when it ended.

Very disappointing audio. I’ve paired two in stereo and they do an awful job with the mix, at least with Apple Music songs. The vocals of Alice Cooper’s “Elected” were buried.

Apparently cnet didn't have permission to use music in the video so it was cut off in post. Horrible

There are a lot of great Bluetooth speakers inside dindinmodern that are perfect for house parties. The prices are also very cheap.

Google have always had better sound quality than Amazon equivalents IMO. I've not bought one of these yet but did try it in the shop and it sounded excellent. I have one home mini gen 2 and two home mini first gen, the gen 2 sound so much better than the originals.

Acer just announced their version of Google smart speaker called Halo. Can't wait to see the comparisons between these two devices

one thing google hasn't said is that there are latency issues when pairing the audio nest to a tv via bluetooth. I've tried with mine and the lag of more than 1s makes it not viable at all. if you are looking to use them as tv speakers, DONT DO IT

I may be the minority but to me I feel the cable and charger should match the color of the unit. The 4 lights could have been google colored instead of boring all white. It could have also benefited from having an Aux port and a charging USB C port at the front. I would have liked to see a built in simple digital clock (like amazon has on one of their smart speakers) that could also show the date, and countdown timer, and stopwatch functionality. I know one could verbally ask the assistant for the time or to set a timer, it just would be better imo to be able to see that information as well and be able to stop or pause timers with a simple tap on the top. Plus a water resistance rating for bathroom and possibly outdoors use. I will wait for price drops, 75$ seems like a fairer price

I don’t understand ➡️ why she said that the Nest Audio is a midrange speaker?

In the Netherlands, they sell 2 nest audio + 1 free. So 3 for 199 euros, or 78 dollars each. Is this deal also in the US?

It’s hard to trust your comments on audio quality when your own audio quality is all over the place. It doesn’t show that you care about audio quality.

Got a pair of the Nest Audios. We love them. They sound crisp and clean with good stereo separation.

There's hardly any difference in loudness of the old and new, your mic system isn't doing it justice most likely!

Hilariuosly pointless, the volume comparison omitted the ONLY test that would have made any sense - max volume. This showed technical understanding on the level of 11 is louder than 10.

I would rather spend the extra $100 and get a sonos speaker. Music sounds WAY better app is better and you can have the choice of eitger Google or Alexa for the assistant

Noone is going to take a review of an audio product seriously when the review itself is recorded with poor audio. How are we supposed to take her word for it whilst simultaneously she is demonstrating her poor understanding of audio to us?

The Google executives who decided to bring this product into the world, should be fired.
Who needs a new speaker with a better sound, but no screen and costs the same as Google Nest Hub?
Just improve the quality sound of the Google Nest Hub...
I would understand the idea if it was ment to replace the Mini Nest and cost 40$.
