You can also accent this particular pattern when doing the in-between row. You can use a different color and it will actually frame the clusters that you are making. I like that because then you can actually see the box stitch a little more prominently.
Ответитьit says free written pattern here but how do i print it please.
ОтветитьThe printed directions are not the same as the video 😒😒😒😒 any explanation??
ОтветитьFantastic!👍 I saw a blanket made with this stitch but I didn't know it was called a block stitch. I'd written down instructions on how I "thought" it was done and although not 100% correct (because I've not worked it), I was very close. In my mind I was thinking Ch3 sp instead of Ch2 sp. Everything (st count, etc.) clicked 💡 after you did the 2nd group of dc3's. Thank you so much for sharing this. Now I can get started without hurting my brain with trial and error! 😄 Thanks again and have a blessed day! 🙂
ОтветитьThank you so much for this very clear and simple instruction fir this pretty blanket! I have only made granny square blankets so far and have been so keen to try something new - I’ve found it! Thank you 😘
ОтветитьWhat border did you add to this I'm done with my blanket...thank you
ОтветитьDaisy Cottage Designs has THE best patterns. I made a baby blanket using a different pattern than the block stitch but it was simple enough for me to follow with. My cousin loved it and now I'm making another blanket for another cousins baby that was just born. I'm so excited to try out this new pattern and stitch. Thank you for making the material free on your website and having these YT tutorials to help those of us that are semi-newbie or intermediate crocheters :)
ОтветитьThanks for the Tutorial ❤️
ОтветитьYou are the best teacher! TU
ОтветитьI'm new to crochet (only knew how to single crochet before this) and I've learned SO much making this throw ! Your pattern and videos are great and make it so easy to learn.
ОтветитьOnly question i have is why one side has a DC and the other side looks like it has 2?
ОтветитьLove this pattern and your video tutorials are easy to follow and understand.
I am going to try using this pattern for a wheelchair lap blanket for the residents at the nursing home near me!
Can you recommend the size for this project please?
Thank you very much!
What type of border do you suggest for this pattern?
Ответить@daisycottagedesigns which row
Do I end my blanket on? Sc or dc row?
Cant wait to try . Was going to do mitered stitch but now i cant decide their both wonderful 💯
ОтветитьHow would you do a border on this blanket xx
ОтветитьI love this and it’s really easy to do once I have the hang of it. I only started crocheting a few months ago 🧶
ОтветитьI love this blanket however I'm trying to put a border on it and I have a gap on one side that's not on the other and I noticed watching your tutorial twice then you have the same gap on one side that's not on the other I'd like to know how to fix that because putting the border on makes the Gap obvious it's the side where you just do a double crochet at the end of the row
ОтветитьThank you so much 💓
ОтветитьI absolutely love your channel! I love all your colors and designs 😍
ОтветитьHey guys! I’m still new to crocheting. What is the difference between variegated yarn and worsted weight yarn?
ОтветитьI started my crocheting with a foundation stitch … dark to light.. I’ll end with using a teal yarn that goes very dark to light for teal. I’ll end using stitches like the foundation stitches then work on the border❤
ОтветитьI love love love this pattern. Great instruction and easy to follow. Plus, you have one of the most pleasant websites- Great logo, friendly style and lovely patterns and pics. Your email format makes for easy reading bc they are uncluttered and content is relevant. Thanks for such a fun experience.
ОтветитьHi there can I do this pattern with a 6 ply yarn?
ОтветитьLove this stitch, thank you for teaching it to me. I can't read a pattern so I love when I can see it and sometimes even write the pattern in terms I understand. I'm a visual learner so this videa really helped. I also love the color of this yarn and you've inspired me to go buy more yarn 🙂 you have a wonderful color palette on your channel.
Ответить😂thanks from a 80 year old knitter who who has just discovered crochet and is Loving It ❤!!
So far this stitch is my favorite. I’m making a blanket with it and using Lion Brand Mandala Baby Cake in Narnia the colors are just outstanding. I’m about halfway through my second cake. 590 yds each and just so soft!!
I never get tired of it 😊
Your words and your voice make it so easy and pleasant!
I will be searching for you again and again ❤😊
Thanks

ОтветитьTutto molto bello
ОтветитьThank you for showing how to create this wonderful pattern it is definitely going to be my new one to make a scarf and a blanket for this winter season
ОтветитьIf I’m making a queen size blanket how many chains?
ОтветитьHi Lauren, I think this is such a classic stitch. This will be my second time making a blanket with it....thanks so much !
ОтветитьI like this stitch, I just finished a throw to sit on the living room on my chase 😊
ОтветитьHi Lauren, love this stitch, would like to do this on a foundation row (back bump), I am fairly new to crochet and would like to know how to add that row without messing up the original stitch count 🙏 thank you!
ОтветитьShe's showing you the pattern in the video. A very good video. Great instructions, nice work and good voice. Thank you
ОтветитьI'm going to try this with 2 colors so the sc can be seen better and show off the box. Wish me luck. Ty
ОтветитьI absolutely love this pattern, I've just ordered yarn to start it but I'm swapping the white for green! When you change colours, is it after completing your last row of single crochets or double crochets?
ОтветитьI couldn’t find the specific yarn on the website….
ОтветитьHow did you make the border around it? I’m really struggling to figure out a good stitch to use for my border.
ОтветитьI can’t remember the size hook I was using (probably size J), but the yarn was DK weight. I didn’t like the way the stitches came out. So I unraveled it and switched to size H and got a better result
Sometimes you have to experiment with different yarn or different hooks when you’re trying a new stitch. Keep experimenting and until you find something that works for you.
How many foundation stitches would you need to make for a regular blanket?
ОтветитьHi Lauren: Do you have a video on making a granny stitch stripe blanket? I only found a granny square blanket. I am interested in only the granny stitch stripe blanket. I could not find one on your website. I also have purchased your all access patterns and I do not see one there either. Thanks.
ОтветитьI am so happy to finally see someone else go into the back bump while starting, I’m not the only one! Yay!
ОтветитьIs there a video link to the blanket or only written instructions?
ОтветитьI’ve been trying to learn this stitch for a few days now and it finally clicked for me with your tutorial, thank you!
ОтветитьI’ ve seen this pattern lately, but don’t know how to start it, until now.. Thank you so very much for your easy and clearly lesson! I am going to make a scarf now. Thank you very much!🌹❤️🥰
ОтветитьSuch clear instructions.
Thank you
I am having a problem seeing the stitches because of the variegated yarn and the needle would have been better if it were a dark plastic hook.
ОтветитьThis is a beautiful classic stitch!
ОтветитьI have trouble with the end parts. I've rewind the video so many times. It goes by to fast.
