Fantastic!👍 I saw a blanket made with this stitch but I didn't know it was called a block stitch. I'd written down instructions on how I "thought" it was done and although not 100% correct (because I've not worked it), I was very close. In my mind I was thinking Ch3 sp instead of Ch2 sp. Everything (st count, etc.) clicked 💡 after you did the 2nd group of dc3's. Thank you so much for sharing this. Daisy Cottage Designs has THE best patterns. I made a baby blanket using a different pattern than the block stitch but it was simple enough for me to follow with. My cousin loved it and now I'm making another blanket for another cousins baby that was just born. I'm so excited to try out this new pattern and stitch. Thank you for making the material free on your website and having these YT tutorials to help those of us that are semi-newbie or intermediate crocheters :)

I love this blanket however I'm trying to put a border on it and I have a gap on one side that's not on the other and I noticed watching your tutorial twice then you have the same gap on one side that's not on the other I'd like to know how to fix that because putting the border on makes the Gap obvious it's the side where you just do a double crochet at the end of the row

Hey guys! I’m still new to crocheting. What is the difference between variegated yarn and worsted weight yarn?

I started my crocheting with a foundation stitch … dark to light.. I’ll end with using a teal yarn that goes very dark to light for teal. I’ll end using stitches like the foundation stitches then work on the border❤

I absolutely love this pattern, I've just ordered yarn to start it but I'm swapping the white for green! When you change colours, is it after completing your last row of single crochets or double crochets?

How did you make the border around it? I’m really struggling to figure out a good stitch to use for my border.

I can’t remember the size hook I was using (probably size J), but the yarn was DK weight. I didn’t like the way the stitches came out. So I unraveled it and switched to size H and got a better result

Sometimes you have to experiment with different yarn or different hooks when you’re trying a new stitch. Keep experimenting and until you find something that works for you.

How many foundation stitches would you need to make for a regular blanket?

I am having a problem seeing the stitches because of the variegated yarn and the needle would have been better if it were a dark plastic hook.
