I was a little girl, went to elementary school, when this song was in the charts. And I got literally addicted to it, bought the single from my little pocket money and kept playing it in loud my room every single day, over and over and over again, driving my disinterested father mad who kept shouting:"Will you turn down the noise!" In vain. When I listened to "Needles and Pins" I was in my own world, forgetting my loneliness. And I'm still addicted today. The song is timeless and iconic.
