The lady talking about your baby's naps probably is just putting her baby down too soon. My kids can stay awake anywhere from an hour and a half to three and a half hours depending on the activity level of the house during that time. And regardless of how long she is awake she usually still only sleeps for about a half an hour and Miguel is how long she sleeps she's still there's only way between an hour and a half and three and a half hours. It says if there's no correlation between the two and she's developing just fine with shorter naps. Most days she does take a long nap, a single long nap, but not always

I am currently trying to get my 7 month old daughter to go down for a nap on her own so self soothing. She constantly fights naps and will not go to sleep unless I hold her. She will only nap for 30 minutes to 2 hours unless I sleep with her then she will sleep as much as 5 hours. However if I sleep with her all the time then nothing will get done so I’m trying my best to get her to sleep on her own. I’m honestly glad I watched this because I keep thinking I’m doing something wrong but other moms are experiencing the same thing.

The advice for moms about not worrying and having fun are really funny to me as a second time mom who's already pregnant again 😂 I'm definitely not worried and also not able to have that "not pregnant anymore" type of fun lol

some these comments: "well MY baby is so advanced all the milestones mentioned in the video have been mastered ages ago. Now at 7 months, my baby can walk on a tightrope, spatchcock a chicken, and has recently applied for a drivers license"

But really it goes to show all babies develop different skills at different times

From birth, my baby never slept well. She always had tummy troubles. Severe gas and reflux. I wasn't able to breastfeed so formula had to do. After 4 milk changes: Similac Total Comfort (hydrolized casein [Nutramigen], goat milk, soy milk, 5 different probiotics, strong reflux medication (Prevacid) and homeopathic colic medications, she still has trouble sleeping at night due to the gases.

She was cleared of allergies, intolerances and celiac. Her reflux got better and now she's off of it, but the gases continue. They kept her on the Nutramigen since it caused the least gasiness out of all the formulas. Essentially, they checked her up and down and chucked her problems to growing pains. She'll grow out of it, they said. She's overly sensitive and her issues should subside after 6 months as her digestive matures, they said. She's 7 months and now that she's on solids shit has hit the ceiling, sort of speak. Everything is worse. Much worse. Before, she used to wake up every 15-20 minutes complaining and tossing while asleep 4-5x's a night trying to push out farts. But she stayed asleep. Now on solids, she wakes up crying every 10-15 minutes all night long pushing out those damn farts. I'm not joking! Every 10-15 minutes all...night...long waking up crying. It's maddening! I gave up trying to go back to sleep. The interruption is worse for me than staying up all night. She doesn't sleep. I don't sleep. She naps poorly in the day (no more than 20 minutes). I'm scared how this is affecting her brain and development. She's always groggy and grumpy in the day.

It's as if, it doesn't matter if she gets a lot of farts out. More of it forms all the time. It's sort of like that old candy tray at your grandma's house, it somehow never runs out!

I had sleep debt from the last 3 months of my pregnancy, but now I'm adding 7 months and counting to that debt. It's getting to the point I'm laughing hysterically for no reason, I'm forgetting common names and objects and experiencing profound fatigue and vertigo. I'm all alone raising a child. No family nearby or friends or neighbors to count on. Not a damn soul. This is the most severe case of gases I've ever heard of in a baby and I grit my teeth every time I keep hearing the same stupid old suggestions like bicycle kicks and tummy massages. Last time I tried to massage her belly, she was so angry she grabbed my finger and yanked it as hard as she could because she didn't know how to communicate how much it hurt. That breaks my heart seeing her like this. All I can do is cry for her. Fucking Dr's are useless!

My son is 7.5 mo. Starting to crawl forward but kindda slow and looks bouncy. He sit up from laying down by himself twice now! And both is because he woke up from his sleep looking for me. Has quite some seperation anxiety, stranger anxiety towards males only haha. He loves walking around assisted, and an expert little roller ball. He wakes up every few hours at night for feedings and been skipping daytime naps
