There are no lab tests that can diagnose fibromyalgia.

FM is a syndrome of a number of problems including sleep dysfunction. It's complicated.

The MTHFR gene mutation is believed to be a contributing factor to fibromyalgia. People with a variant of this gene mutation cannot methylate. As a consequence they cannot use the vitamin B in their bodies and the side effects are wide ranging and across different metabolic and detoxification pathways. Since I’ve started supplementing with methylated B supplements and making sure I eat a salad every day for the folate , the chronic fatigue is better, and the fibromyalgia is almost non existent. Of course I’ve managed the disease over the years with healthy eating, exercise, and supplements. But since being diagnosed with the MTHFR mutation I’ve realised that mitochondrial dysfunction is a huge contributing factor to my lifelong struggles with low energy levels . Worse still was the discovery that I am “homozygous” or that I have inherited the same variant from both parents. This means that I am under methylating so much that my energy levels are between 30 and 50 % of a normal person. The vitamin B supplements make a huge difference but too much can cause a problem too. A good functional medicine practitioner to guide the supplementation process has made all the difference and the Chinese medicine practitioner helps restore balance in the body from all the havoc under methylation creates. There is a lot of information available on MTHFR. It really has shone the light on Fibromyalgia for me .

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia years ago. On the paternal side of my family, there is RA, whoch I dont have. My biological dad had something wrong with his nervous system where if he stumped his big toe severely, he may just pass out. I inherited that and had problems since childhood. As I aged, I developed all symptoms of Fibrom but was finally diagnosed with that and also peripheral neuropathy. I would think that what Im experiencing is definitely a nervous system problem...

Considering the mind body connection is critically important in overcoming health issues. For those that doubt its relevance, I completely understand. I spent years dismissing it. After years of suffering I finally entertained the findings of Dr. Sarno and after doing the work (releasing repressed emotions) my pain went from an 10 (barely able to walk) to a ZERO. If it didn’t happen so profoundly I’d still be in the doubting camp. Look, I understand, believing our physical body is so deeply affected by our emotions is hard to accept. But if you can put that aside for long enough and do the steps necessary to release the repressed emotions, you’ll find out just how effective it is. Sarno was a pioneer in this field but there’s a lot of other experts to consider. Find one that resonates with you and reap the benefits.

Eventually we'll realise that all illnesses are neurological. Every cell in your body relies on a well synchronised synapsis-based frequency firing. After that we incorporate the consciousness, that is the driver and influencer of synapsis firing

Gabapentin is great for this. I had bad F.M on my shoulders and the blades. Used it for a while then went for full nerve ablation from my head to my sacroiliac and all in between took ~5 years to get everything. Nothing beats R.F. Ablation. I have new herniated discs and now Zero pain. Over the next year my body will eat away at the herniations until they are gone. Orthopedist's don't make any $$$, they will never tell you. You must find a Pain Management Doctor, preferably a trained anesthesiologist. My Dr. can do this with his eyes closed. He is that good! All ablations take under ~15 minutes and home you go. Medicare will not pay. So I pay myself. Nothing is like being pain free.

I know that the majority of my Fibromyalgia symptoms are stress related and that taking B1 helps a lot as does eating white rice. It does not take away all the pain, by any means. But, then again, the stress continues. Perhaps if one could remove themselves from the extreme stress it would do much better.

I think root canals are the cause of fibromyalgia. When you have a dead thing (dead tooth) in a living body a chemical imbalance occurs. It’s important for doctors to ask their patients with fibromyalgia symptoms if they have one or more root canals

Do your research and you’ll find that fibromyalgia did not exist before they gave a neurotoxin a vaccine in mid to late 60s they initially labeled the response on their victims as yuppie flu and called them lazy later they named it fibromyalgia make no mistake. It was caused by a neurotoxin in a Trojan horse called a vaccine.

This is excellent and based on research . I am a nurse and midwife in uk and have suffered from Fibromyalgia for many years. I have research everything to aid my pain. This is fascinating and I have already started Thiamine. I wish you would put dosage. I’m now on Pregabilin due to pain becoming unbearable and has helped greatly but comes with its side effects which can be difficult to handle in my job. I also take magnesium and calcium glutinate . I have B12 deficiency and anemia due to gastric bypass 10 yrs ago. I have met many bariatric patients who have developed Fibromyalgia. I definitely relate to small fibre neuropathy and symptoms.
