How do streaming apps such as Hulu look on it for you? For me the smart hub itself along with most of the apps I have tried do not look good at all honestly, I assume its just software as pc looks fine but am confused as to why Hulu looks like its on a 2014 tv.

I'm returning mine, waiting for something without the smart TV feature!

I have this monitor, and I would say that the coating on the screen is just like the coating on a regular monitor.

Can you disable DSC and just use 4k 120hz with displayport?

Thanks for talking about the productivity side of the monitor...we can't play games ALL the time, so it's good to know that it's still decent for spreadsheets/office, etc.

Hello, thanks for your review. I wanted to ask something, I am currently using a 300 nit IPS display and my brightness is always at 100. I wonder if the brightness will be better than my current monitor or if it will be insufficient. I mean can we adjust the brightness close to 300 nits in sdr mode or will it remain dim? Is this monitor a QD-OLED?

Today received odyssey G80SD and faced with the problem that when I connect to Mac via hdmi or any other ports, refresh rate 120hz, even if you reduce it to 2k it is still 120hz. Tried all settings, different cables and nothing helps. Who has experienced this can you help me ? Because there was no such problems on MSI monitor.

I (briefly) owned an Odyssey OLED G8 last year before deciding Ultrawide wasn't for me and replacing it with an Asus WOLED. But I don't think Tizen OS on that model let you navigate with a mouse and keyboard, you HAD to use their included remote. This is an extremely nice quality of life change

How do you compare text clarity between you 57 odyssey g9 and this odyssey g8 4k?

Do you hear audio from console games or do you need a soundbar speakers for this monitor

The LG has the boxy appearance in the back not only to house the electronics, but also because of the speakers built in behind the screen.

I was waiting for this review, but I am now disappointed because it doesn't have DP 2.0. Even my Intel NUC 12 SNKi7 (Enthusiast) has DP2.0.

I first ordered LG 32 because od deeper blacks, but canceled order and go for Samsung. Because they gave me 200 euro bettee price than LG and 3 year burn in warranty. ( LG doesnt cover burn in warranty in price). So I am happy and waiting for my samsung to come

Tizen os and tv like settings. Slightly higher input lag compared to others (probably caused by tizen os) is a real deal breaker for me. That and the matte screen.

Monitors shouldn’t have a “game mode” when the standard mode isn’t great for desktop usage.
