I really dont understand why u should grind down your hardskin-bumps on your hand with sandpaper. They are built up in spots that experience the most friction, so that there is more skin to wear off for future climbs.

For me, the biggest fear of failing is falling. I don’t care about people staring but I’m easily injured and already have a broken ankle

i definetly dont agree with climbing faster rather then perfect. Especially for beginners, technic should be paramount because it is the foundation...but hey, only my opinion, what do I know.
