I'm old, and I'm glad, 'cause this is what we heard when we turned on the radio, all the time! And more, so much more great music.
ОтветитьYES This was the best music ever ! not like the loud trash of now ,today they think slam and hammer loud is music No .
ОтветитьThat ending! With brushes, no less.
Ответитьトムとジェリーみたいね
ОтветитьThe young Lionel Hampton !!!!
ОтветитьWow! Great Speed! Burning it up!
Ответить¡¡¡EESTOO ES JAZZZ!!!Y QUE POLENTA TENIAN !!!😃👀👍👏👏👏💎🌈💎🌈💎🌈🌠🌄❇
ОтветитьThank you Benny....for being color blind.
ОтветитьIn this setting the pianist had to keep a thight pocket
ОтветитьMan, is that what reefer does to people? Krupa's hands were just a blur.
ОтветитьIf he was driving a car he'd be pulled over for hitting supersonic speeds on the freeway. Would finish the Indianapolis 500 before it began!
ОтветитьStunning! Reminds me somewhat about the Mothers. Bless US for the incredible music
ОтветитьNo bass??!!
ОтветитьBello
ОтветитьWow!
ОтветитьYou Have To Set Playback Speed To .75, To Get It Close To The Original Recorded Tempo . . .
ОтветитьAwesome, Amazing Thank You
ОтветитьThis shines brightly in the net 🎆♥️
ОтветитьTime machine: Back to the Carnegie Hall concert. Dress tag and fine elegant woman on my side
ОтветитьOUTSTANDING!!!
ОтветитьMarvelous
ОтветитьMarvelous .Rest in Peace
ОтветитьWhat an insane line-up.
ОтветитьWhat can one say?
Forget Mahavishnu Orchestra, these fellows were ahead of the curve.
So much to ❤ here.4 geniuses. Among the other delights is one of jazz' harmonic pioneers,Mr. Lionel Hampton. And the tempo is frightening!
ОтветитьThis puts the biggest smile on my face 😊
ОтветитьKupra was a mad man on those drums!
ОтветитьFinally, Im here... I've heard something like this in Tom and Jerry!!
ОтветитьFirst heard BG on AFN short wave in the 1940's. Each had a complete mastery of their instrument and an understanding of each other's thoughts. Teddy Wilson's left hand is as fascinating as his right!!!!!
ОтветитьTeddy 🌠
Ответитьbenny was ahead of the times. 2 black guys in his Quartet, 1937 was scandalous. ken burns jazz documentary gave all the details abt it.
ОтветитьSo this is where Tom and Jerry songs come from
ОтветитьNo need to artificially speed up the video, these guys could play fast enough in real life.
Ответитьbeyond brilliant 🥰
ОтветитьWow, those 2 minutes felt like an entire symphony.
ОтветитьI burned 100 calories just watching Gene Krupa.
ОтветитьMy god, seeing Teddy Wilson actually doing full blown stride with flatted tenths at this speed is nuts!
ОтветитьAnd the bebop guys were thought to have played fast to separate the men from the boys
ОтветитьDo you have the House Hop/Avalon from this concert?
ОтветитьBlows my mind how hard they were playing in 1937. Nice to see music bringing people together 💙
ОтветитьClássico
ОтветитьBenny Goodman was one of the first bandleaders to allow white and black musicians to play together in a public forum. I thank him for opening up the doors for all musicians.
ОтветитьTHANKS
Ответить😳🤯 Incredible. Just incredible. Can't imagine how many hours (days.. months..) it's taken for them to become such talents, they're one with their instruments.
ОтветитьAbsolutely terrific.
Ответитьこれぞ最強にして至高のクァルテット!。
ОтветитьLovely
ОтветитьThis scene was cut from the film when showed in the south due to the interracial band. "In the 19 February 1938 Billboard, an industry news column notes the Memphis Board of Censors is “scissoring” a scene from a just-released Busby Berkeley musical, Hollywood Hotel. The scene not fit for Memphis cinemas is a performance of “I’ve Got a Heart Full of Music” by the Benny Goodman Quartet."
ОтветитьIs the footage sped up, or do they just drink lots of coffee?
ОтветитьIt's a little tough to dance to.
