I dont see why grim is hated so much, it's the same as a brimstone lineups, it requires skill to pull off consistently, he knows how the enemy team thinks and plays around that, and has the capacity to kill top players, and knows his agent really well. Sure he may be a rat, but he is a smart rat.

Pro-level play is just so well-understood by players at that level, across all games out there, and the moment something is new/unexpected, they rage. It happens every time there's a new character, or a new mechanic, new map, new mode, etc. They just get so stuck in a rut and comfortable that anything beyond their expectations is so scary. This shit is delightful to witness.
