How to start playing piano or keyboard // Complete beginner tutorial - basic technique and exercises

Love love love this approach. Long time guitar player but other than noodling around on a child’s muppet babies toy keyboard and some classes in recording in college, I’ve never played. Honestly, I didn’t really know that the black keys are the flats (where are the sharps duh.) I have trouble patting my stomach and rubbing my head but since this is the first video I’ve watched, I’ll try to stick with it. Thanks again for a patient approach.

I was totally lost in life lost so many people I nothing could int rest me anymore.
Till yesterday when I visited my neighbour .
He plays keyboard , I asked him to play Crockett's theme . He pulled out a piano easy video . He said you can do this too dit down you do the right hand . In ten minutes I was able to play the first part of the song . In two hours the keyboard shop open s , for the first time in 1,5 years I am exited bout something again.

clutch tutorial you teach it well not rushing

I noticed when demonstrating chords, you moved left to F from C into another Octave! Why didn’t, you go right following up from C? I have seen this in notations of chords, it is confusing?

I have a Daw, should i buy a midi keyboard to learn paino and that would also help me to compose music

It's been almost a month since I finally started to learn the piano, out of all the videos so far this is one of the most important ones I've watched. Proper posture, hand and finger placement, I really needed to learn those and I really started to feel like I can be an advanced piano or keyboard player some day. I'm planning to play choir songs for my church in the future but for now I need to know the basics. Have a like and sub mate. 👍

I have just bought an electric piano so I can play with phones on at silly hours.
You are young and by heck you know how to teach.
Those chord progressions were good.
Practice all four with both hands?
I did not know all the black notes formed the minor pentatonic. That was great to learn and there is some good improvising to be done with the black notes.
You are a breath of fresh air.
Its all very well people saying " get a teacher".
Some of us cannot afford that...pensioners like me!

I’m finding this now a few years later from the release of the video, but I love your videos! A lot of lesson videos I’ve seen feel like they hold back on information but it feels easy to understand and comfortable to start learning piano with your videos!
