For panning I tend to use TAL-Filter-2 since from what I can tell from the video, its the same as PanCake2 except you can also use it for filtering. Even better is Gatelab by audiomodern. With it you can have volume be randomized, and it has stereo and mono. They got some other such as Panflow and Filterstep. I usally just use Gatelab
