I saw Daryle at an impromptu show at a local irish pub that just happened to be between two other gigs, so it was booked last-minute. I knew who he was but had never seen him live and I was blown away. It was this same band. Just over a year later, he would be found dead on his own bedroom floor, the apparent victim of a blood clot. What a terrible loss for family, loved ones and country music. He is sorely missed.

I was a big fan through all of his career. I was privileged to see his show several different times. I was shocked when he passed. His wife Holly is the sweetest person and a super mom to their 4 beautiful kids. I've up with them on social media for several years. So happy Holly recently married and their family is just fun to keep up with. They honor Daryle on his special days. Life has to go on and his music will live forever. Truly one of the top 20 voices in history of country music.

From the first note 🎵 of " I Let Her Lie " the combination of all the greats lefty, Merle, Keith...confirmed me Daryle Singletary stood among the greats 💯👌 of all time ! What a voice ! What a loss... forever a fan .

He was such a great talent and never received the recognition he deserved. Had the pleasure of seeing him in person on one of his shows in Oklahoma, performing with Vince Gill and Trisha Yearwood. Now that was a stage full of nothing but talent. Singletary could sing the ingredients from the back of a cereal box and make you break out in chills. GREAT TALENT.

Not many of the newer singers make it to the greatest of greats category. But DS made it. He belongs side by side with Hank, Merle , George, and all the great legends. We lost a real treasure. We could have had 30 more years of DS but his work was done

Living in Australia, country music is Australian by nature and many international artists are squeezed out by their Australian counterparts. Such that I didn't get to know Darryl until after he had passed. I have missed so much of his music, but what an artist!

Wow! What a great band sound!

I like this because I had the pleasure of mixing Daryle for a couple years , The best voice in modern country !! it was a horrible loss . I love how the mix has to develop but it ends up classic D "oh thats not the bands fault" everything audio related IS always and ever be "The Sound Man" I LOVE IT ! this is the exact set we were doing you absolutely made my day !!!!

I had the pleasure of opening up for Daryle and Rhett akins in 2008 in Washington county pa, Amity pa at a place called rinkydinks roadhouse!! Pleasure to meet them as they were both Georgia boys. I told him that I met haggard in 2000 and told him how cool he was, he just looked at me!! No response. No saying. Best time of my life ❤️! I sing his tunes as well as original tunes on Bret Lee music. God 🙏 bless y'all
