Does anyone feels like someone touching your brain, like pulsating sensitivity on your brain? But when your scratch your head its gone. Also find it hard to sleep at night like, sleep wake, sleep wake...?

I (20 year old, female) was diagnosed with Severe Generalized Anxiety Disorder in summer of 2023. It’s one hell of a bitch and I hate how TikTok glamorizes mental illness or encourages other people around my age to fake anxiety or other mental health/neurological disorders! It’s not all “glitters and rainbows, get cuddles, sympathy, likes, and views!”, it’s debilitating!!!

My friend keeps saying how she has anxiety and that it’s so bad and that it’s worse than mine but she can literally walk out of class in the middle of lesson and not worry about being scolded. I really want to tell her that anxiety is not something that comes and goes but is something that affects my life everyday and it is impossible for me to just stop worrying

As someone with Autism and sensory overload, I doubt there's any treatment for me. There are ways to gain some control, but they can't be permanent or "cured".

Glad I found this video! I went through a bad battle with anxiety back in 2017. We have 4 kids, and my wife was sick a lot, and I guess I reached my breaking point. It started with not sleeping, something in my brain would "ZAP" me awake, I tried drinking alcohol just to sleep, It would pass out drunk only to wake up with my body "zinging" (thats what I call it) 2 hours later like I didn't even drink anything. I was terrible and it took me quite a while to get better. The only thing that worked for me was Clonzapan, and the doctor would only give me a few of those for obvious reasons. Eventually, the Buspar and Lexapro helped me get back to feeling human again. Unfortunately, I just had a relapse because I felt I didn't need to take my meds. It was almost 2.5 years I was off the Lexapro, but I continued a lower dose of buspar, and things at home were getting harder and harder to deal with again, so It came back! Not to the degree like the first time, but still enough to really effect me. Now it feels like the surface of my skin burns/tingles, or my muscles burn on the tops of my legs and arms, sleeping has been an issue, but I don't worry about it as much this time. My doctor prescribed me Ambien, so I will try that as some point. I do hope that anyone that experiences this or lives with this condition can get some help for themselves, It really is a terrible and debilitating disorder.

Psychedelics saved me from years of uncontrollable depression, anxiety, and illicit pills addiction. Imagine carving heavy chains for over a decade and then all of a sudden that burden is gone. Believe it or not, in a couple of years they'll be all over for treatment of mental health related issues.
