I thought aquarium heaters were supposed to be at about a 45 degree angle not vertical or horizontal. Says that in the instructions for both my heaters.

Aqua clear beats this every day of the week. The built in skimmer is a problem for smaller fish and fry.

My fish store guybshoved this filter in my hand , he said he liked it , i should use it no explanionion . This store has a great reputation . Thank you for a dummy proof explation . Inhave not used it yet . I now love it can't wait to try it thank you

Its probably a good filter, but my aquaclear 110s have never faltered. They restart on thier own after power outages which aparently i have alot of, they are super quiet and the filter/media size is huge.

Also i really enjoy how they blend into the tank very well- they dont stick up too high and you only see the intake tube in the tank.

i have the 55 on my 35 gallon...its....ok...thats it...just ok.

I loved everything about this filter EXCEPT it is extremely loud. Much louder than my fluval aquaclear. I had to return it I couldn’t take the noise from the motor

Hi, wife has a 20 gal high with betta, tetra and minnows. Is a tidal 55 with the flow turned down too much? She prefers the tube and I'd like to get her something that gives her room to upgrade down the line.

The only good thing aqua clear got over this is the shape of its filter media basket. Its easier to get your own cut outs of whatever media/sponges in a rectangular shape than an irregular oval shape. That is a big difference when it comes to layering filter media and how matter passes through those layers and how each layer is snug around the media filter basket. No doubt tho you made a very convincing argument and i even wanna buy it even if i dont need it atm. If only fluval can update the ancient design of the aquaclear to be able to catch up with the new tech other companies are now bringing to hob filtration, imo they would come back on top.

How do you keep the blue popup down? It's supposed to tell you is time to clean it, but all it does is float when there's a little water in it. I took the entire filter out, cleaned it, and put it back together and it still is popping up

I have inherited 7 freshwater tanks full of angel fish clown loach, Discus , one just has gold fish, one has silver dollars (I think) , various spotted catfish.... a few plako who don't clean a darn thing ...lol. so my old timer friend passed ... her also left me a $60,000 fishing boat... soooo these fish are getting treated as well as my dogs. lol. I am building a room for the fish in my basement and bought a used 120 gallon tank to consolidate some of the tanks. he has all whisper filters and I hav to change all the filter bakgsonce a week and they are totally caked... My question is.... if those cake up so fast from these fish, would this and of filter work well for me? and would you recommend 2 75s or the 120 gallon ? or think the 110 may work? I'm ready to order what ever you say Coach!! Thank you! So I am a dog guy ... rescue dogs have 4 /100 pounders ... now I am a fish rescue guy.... and these fish have stolen my heart. Yet I need to learn on the go. Anybody that can help... please chime in... I've been taking care of them at his house fora year. so now ts time to move them to my house ... like 100 fish and I lost a few which broke my heart... But the room is done and it time to move them. New BEST/ASY filters is my next step. HELP! LOL

I wish you had the option to close off the skimmer intake. That way I can do bigger water changes without turning off the pump.

I really like the idea that you can control the input on the output separately but I just want to make sure so I want to ask if I wanted to have less output so that it wouldn’t have so much flow into the tank. Could I still have maximum intake? It seems that if you slow down the out, put them in the Intake would also slow down.

I'm making a giant bubble gum machine fish tank and I work so hard and a filter is killing me please tell me what to do???. I have everything and I have always had fish tanks I know what to do, but this is a very difficult thing. I've done so ? much myself , I hate getting help , but I'm about to loose my mind !!:(. I wonder if you know about the Totto perfect filter? It's technically hang on the back, though internally it's much different than those filters from tetra, etc.

The motor in this filter is so loud that is unbearable. I’ve cleaned it out but nothing helped.

Yeah I like this filter. Using it only for purifying my aquarium.
On a side note the blue color is done on purpose beCause that is the indication as what you will have to touch if you have to touch anything. Black is well the rest of the unit.

Love the filter but I wish like the Aquaclear they provided a hose extension so it will reach the bottom of my 24” inch height tank. Otherwise, its a great filter.

I've done fresh and marine tanks for years. Been out of the hobby for a while due to extensive travel. Jumping back into a small 40 breeder based reef tank. Always liked HOB filter but the issue of surface skimming is tough with a HOB filter on a salt tank. This looks like it solves two common issues, the surface skimming and the priming. Ordered one of the 75s from your site based on this video and a few others but your video was the most informative and your prices are good.
