It’s a shame to replace solid wood stairs by laminate, in my opinion. They now look cheap, sorry.

Why are staitr caps so expensive? Just a quick price check at Home Depot showed &60-$75 per stair. Your job would be over $300,00!

The laminate looks great but I would not have used black for the sides and definitely would have ditched the very dated railing.

Where did you buy the Left Return Tread? I have been looking but unable to find one at a good price. I found one place that sold each thread at 181 dollars (this is me doing the installation).

A lot of what you did was wrong but it came out okay in the video hope it holds up over time if not call a professional

Nice! Do you have videos with stairs treads exposed from both sides? Mine is this style and if I have to cut, adding the endcaps would be very interesting. I can’t think of how that can happen

A japanese pull saw would have worked better than either of the saws you had.

You have to be careful with the way this was done. I would bot recommend doing it this way. It's completely backwards. If you ever get a longer period with higher humidity, that glue will give in faster than handing a candy bar to a fat kid.

I loved the makeover. I'd redo the railing if you see something you think looks better. But I like skat you did. I'm going my project turns out good. I can't find a video with my idea.

Laminate on stairs. Anybody wearing socks is going down hard. A much better option is wood. It grows on trees. No chemicals. No off gassing. Just a really good product that I feel has stood the test of time.
