Is A 3D Printer A Good DIY Tool?

I've had this 3d printer for a few years, and at first, I didn't know exactly how to make the best use of it. Time has changed this, it has now become a tool I use as often as my router or jigsaw. It's become a really worthwhile investment for me and I couldn't be more happy with some of the things I've made with it.
