Simple Self Refilling Automatic Potion Brewing Station For Minecraft (Tutorial)

I used this in my automatic XP farmi. Just perfect!

This tutorial felt purposely dragged out. It could literally have been 30 seconds after the machine was built...

Impulse, you're amazing. Four years later, and this is still the clearest tutorial for a contraption that's still working flawlessly on Minecraft Java 1.20.4.

As an added bonus, you can use a dispenser filled with bottles aimed into a waterlogged mangrove root (or copper grate), with a hopper below to refill the water bottle chest.

Question (I'm a bedrock player) Why when I place a water pot in the hopper into the brewing stand or in the brewing stand itself, does it just run through without brewing?

Guys if you want to brew weakness potions you have to put the fermented spider eyes in the top dropper and th gunpowder in the bottom one, also prime the machine with the super eye

Confirmed this still works in 1.20.

If you want to do a single ingredient potion (like a splash water bottle), put a stack of gunpowder in the brewing stand and gunpowder in the bottom dropper.

I built this and it worked (except for the the bug) and then I misplaced water and had to rebuild the whole thing, but when I rebuilt it block for block, the water bottles weren't going out of the chest and into the brewing stand so I redid it and same problem

Doesn't survive a sideways flip. But maybe I can modify it.

had to make a modification to the hoppers/droppers as one of my items wasnt inputing, but still works in 1.19

I'm on a 1.19.2 Paper Server, everything is working (with the observer fix and 2 tick repeater fix) I just can't get the items to leave the brewing stand, enter the chest, and then fire another round.

for some reason the second hopper just, doesn't work...

this works great preloading it is very very important.

Made this in bedrock 1.19, works great with a small workaround. In bedrock, the bottom observer sends a signal too short to the piston, which requires it to last a little longer to actually function. I tried to build what's called a "pulse extender" to have it last a little longer, but due to the closeness of this machine's components I kept powering mechanisms I didn't intend to. In the end what worked for me was to get rid of that bottom observer, whose only job was to trigger the piston based on hopper contents. Then I moved its comparator to the left of the hopper, and ran a redstone line from it up to the piston directly. This adds a 2x2 addition to left of the 3x5 field you should reserve for this machine

Probably because it’s but I just found this video. The piston doesn’t fire right. I have watched the video 78 times so I know I built it right. The observer don’t stay up.

why doesnt it restart once the batch is done

The "fix" only introduced a new bug. Updating the system, in 1.19 - it fires two of each item in succession, which halts the process. I found that if you build the first type and do your 4 ingredients, if it works, let it be. Then most of the other stuff is 3 ingredients, and then it could miss the 2nd from bottom . SO instead of rebuilding the machine, just leave the misfiring dropper empty and move the third ingredient up and put the netherwart at the top.

I think this had more to do with every seventh Dropper bugging out (same happens on the old Super Smelters if you have more than 7 furnaces in an array, the middle one never fires...) So instead of fiddling with the redstone, just adjust which droppers are loaded with ingredients. If you absolutely need 4 ingredients, then move the contraption one or two blocks over and see if the new position resets it.

with this being two - three years old and with new potions can we get a video of one that can do linering potions :D

I used this for bedrock edition, and it turned out bullshit. Followed the instructions to a T and stuff still went wrong:
-all the water bottles got put into the chest before anything brewed
-every time i tried to fiddle with the signal to turn it on, The observer stopped whatever was happening
-none of the droppers were dropping much of anything

EDIT: Next time specify whether its for bedrock or not, dick.

I used the fix where one of the droppers wont fire. This worked fine, then we updated to 1.19.2.... and now it doesn't work. Has anyone else had this issue? My 3rd and 4th droppers wont fire.

Whoot whoot! Just made this in 1.19.2. Working like a charm. Thanks Impluse I am now a little bit safer in the Nether... I will only die now due to my derpiness :D

But only 4 ingredients makes me sad. Compared to a fully automatic Brewery it is very compact and simple . Still the only part i like about this is when you place 50 of them you can brew with 50x speed. But i stick with one Brewery all potions.
