They must be persuaded of the severity of the problem. WHAT are the indirect object and direct object?

Doesn't the subject and indirect object seem too similar? If an indirect object receives an object, so does the subject?

E.g "the cat is on the table." Preposition connects the object "table" to the noun which is the subject? Confusing af 😭

useful for Toki Pona word "e". It signifies the direct object. but I think if it's not sometimes you don't need a preposition like in the video.

toki pona: ni li pona tan nimi "e".
literal translation: (this is good because/for word "e")
