ОтветитьThis was 7 years ago. By now the wage gap myth has been busted. The last missing piece: Men are in average more willing to accept job the don´t like, but of course crave a compensation for doing it. Inequality only in outcome, not in opportunities. Women have the same options. insisting it´s existence has made a lot of harm to feminists credibility, unfortunately.

ОтветитьThis has been debunked so many times now. A lot of Women work part time and that gets configured as a full time worker and plus they have children again missing time from work and that's still considered full time. I know so many women that just want to sit at home and do nothing, hold their husband hostage by telling them they will divorce and take 75% of everything he has. Plus women are schemers they take all your money slowly and move it to their mom's account then run up all the credit cards and after they do that then and only then do they want a divorce hoping to hook up with a new richer sugar daddy. I've seen it time and time again that's why men go marry in the Philippines cause those women are loyal and appreciate what their husband does. There's actually a women's group that is trying to stop men from marrying overseas cause they feel entitled to their wallets. It's sickening the way some women feel about men just another wallet. Not all women are the same but I find a lot are. My wife is the pure gold I wouldn't trade her for the world and she's no run of mill type, pure class loyal and loving, they just don't make them like they use to anymore.

Out of every 20 days I work, one day I work to pay for the military, 1.5 days I work to pay the Ponzi scheme that old people were promised, another 1.5 days I work to pay for healthcare for the old and poor, 1 day I work to pay for the interest on the debt that our government has created. Then the government finances another 2 days of my pay against my kids' future earnings. The only problem is that I have no kids.

ОтветитьI think the "wage gap" and "glass ceiling" are mostly explained by the fact that men work more (hear me out.) Women are much better at finding a healthy work/life/family balance, and so are much less inclined to work 70 hour weeks, travel constantly, miss ballet recitals and soccer games etc, because women tend to prioritize their family and their own mental health (or at least tend not to sacrifice them for the sake of professional accomplishment.)
Men, on the other hand, will work themselves to absolute death, often to the detriment of themselves and their family in the pursuit of success, power, money, providing for their family, glory, achievement, etc.. And from an employer's standpoint, that's all they care about. They see the company man breaking his back to meet or surpass the company's goals, and so naturally, they pay these men more and promote them more often than the women who always leave by 5, don't pull all-nighters, and are less inclined to spend their lives on the road.
These are generalizations, and in the case of the men, it describes the most extreme cases. But those extreme cases, as well as the much more mild general tendencies of average men and women, are enough to account for pay differences in statistical data.

ОтветитьIf the wage gap was true, companies would only hire woman so they could pay them less. I have asked lots of people I know and nobody can tell me of a company paying woman less because it’s also illegal. Im sure there is some outlier here and there is no apples to apples data on this.
ОтветитьWomen don't want to work the long hours that men work. Women don't make the same choices when it comes to careers as men make. I know so many women who qualify as doctors, lawyers, accountants, architects, city planners, etc work hard for 10 or so years then get married and freely choose to stop working and have kids. They're sick of the long hours and the total commitment needed. Not criticizing them for that, it's freedom of choice but you need to train far more people in these fields to make up for the fact that women do this. One story from a hospital: an operation needed to be performed but couldn't go ahead because the anaesthetist was a woman and had to collect her kids from day care and her shift had ended anyway so she was going home. So someone missed out on their operation because she was 'inflexible' about her hours.

ОтветитьMale’s are also more likely to take risks. Greater the risks greater the reward. So males are more likely to work longer hours, move to a workplace with higher pay, move to a position with a higher pay, more likely to ask for higher salary.

Engineers, lawyers and business owners make more money than caregivers, kindergarten teachers and beauticians. Also, women are more likely to cut back on hours or pause their careers when they have children. Men will tend to pick up more hours when that happens. Those extra hours and extra years of work will ultimately lead to future promotions. In any case it doesn’t matter who makes the money. Men tend to spend the vast majority of their wealth on women and what they want. Women have 85% of the spending power in the United States. There is a minor degree of inequality and discrimination against women in the US. but compared to the 3rd world it doesn’t exist.
