His playing is so good it’s almost a distraction from listening to the pickups! Amazing playing and incredible demos! 👍
ОтветитьMY FACE IS MELTING! ARGHHH!😱 SOMEONE GET ME A BUCKET TO DRIP INTO! And a shot of Jager with a rum n Cola chaser. 😃😆😵💫
ОтветитьThumbs up subbed Great video, Brother you came across my news feed and am I glad I pushed play.
ОтветитьWent to their site, saw the price ($500), and said "No thank you." Nice playing though.
ОтветитьTEXAS SPECIALS Are the best for me & My Blues.
ОтветитьMeth is aa terrible drug.
ОтветитьDang!- like another poster said- I wanted to hear some different types of Strat p'ups, but stayed mostly for the playing! Great guitarist- wears many hats and stays relaxed and seamless whilst doing it. Great sounds from each of those p'ups too!
ОтветитьAll I can say is that you obviously were not there in the fifties. We were considerably more versatile than you interpretated it.
ОтветитьIs this the brand that you have your signature set with?
ОтветитьJay, you are such a killer player!
ОтветитьI chose genuine Fender Custom Shop Texas Specials. I love them!
ОтветитьThanks Rain Man 🧍♂️
ОтветитьAll the sets are truely great sounding for their specific intentions. Astounding. BUT went to their web site, the Prices... sheeeeesh....
ОтветитьHoly shit, the Blues are 500 bucks lol, I sure like the blues and the punch tho
ОтветитьJesus, the entire time I was waiting for the name of the pickups lmao, then at the end I realizedTone Specific wasn't just the description lol
ОтветитьWould the 69 jazz set work with hss Strat?
ОтветитьLove your videos because you merge the talk and play very well. Very enjoyable to watch! Can you make a video on the noiseless strat pickups? I put those on my Mod Shop guitar but the tone isnt as round
Ответитьwell done
Ответить$500 for most sets, $600+ for "special" sets...and they Don't disclose k-ohms readings , in favor of nebulas names and wine conisuer type, flowery prose... Would you buy a car, if the manufacturer refused to tell you what engine it came with ?.. instead choosing to tell you, one has a sweet Vroom and the other has a grissly Vroom... Killer Sales Demo, Though... Dudes got Skills.
ОтветитьDudes a spicy lick machine
ОтветитьWhy can’t I find any information about this company no matter how hard I look. No one knows nothing. I call bullshit on this whole endeavor. Every comment talking about this guys “chops”
lol pickups like $500-600 a set? gtfo
I don’t care what you do to a set of guitar pickups, the wind being by hand or by wizard, unless they are made out of gold or touched by God, the tings aren’t worth the money regardless of the company being an Etsy site most likely
$497 for 3 magnets that use antiquated 1950’s technology should be a crime.
ОтветитьGreat tone Bub!
ОтветитьGreat video and I dig your style u fukin rock
ОтветитьWould Fat 50, Fat 60 and Yosemite be in the same class as these Blues pickups?
ОтветитьDude, how come I just discovered you now? You are awesome. Playing, and explanation, great. I tip my hat, sir. Give me some advice, if you dont mind. I would like to get a nice clean, tight, twamgy tone. I have an HSS Squier black and chrome strat. I dont like it, because I am a maple fingerboard guy, but my daughter likes it, and I am considerimg swapping pickups. Is it worth it? What should I get?
ОтветитьShould have installed them in the same guitar. Maple and rosewood are not the same at low volume. Body wood the presents the same problem. Pick one or the other for testing purposes only. Kudos for not drowning us in reverb and distortion.
ОтветитьDude is great at this whole situation😂
ОтветитьA presentation tip is to say "if you're the kind of player..." vs "kind of guy"
ОтветитьNice, b ut for those of us just looking to upgrade a fairly budget level squire, $497 for a set of pickups is out of the question. Need to know options for a working man.
ОтветитьGO PUNCHY!!!!
ОтветитьJay I’ve been a long time subscriber and year after year I discover some pure gold on your channel I haven’t seen yet. I recently picked up a Strat with Fender Tex Mex pickups and they just weren’t for me. This video really helped decide what to look for thanks man. Your playing is incredible dude!
ОтветитьJJ Leonard sounds better
ОтветитьKickin it the way ya want! Great picking!!!
Ответитьwell well well, an FGN strat! didn’t expect they would be punchy! 😅🎸
ОтветитьAre those all fender pups? Hell if I know you didn’t say
ОтветитьWhat a player!
ОтветитьHm 500€ for 3 single coils?
ОтветитьGreat playing
ОтветитьTruly invaluable video, ty
Ответитьso I was trying to figure out what pickups I was gonna buy but after hearing this dude I might as well sell the damn thing lol
Ответитьso why does homedawg not say what pickups are in the guitar? twangy and bluesy pickups aren’t names of pickups dawg i wanna know what ones to buy
ОтветитьHey man, major kudos, you are a fantastic player, lots of positive vibe energy! Though none of those did it for me. I recently bought a 77 Strat and it came with rails, which I’ve learned are a type of humbuckers, they sound really good, the middle pickup has some issues, may be a wiring issue, idk. Anyway, thank you!
Ответить“What the what”
ОтветитьThe pricing on these is …let’s just say insanely out there.
Sorry, you can get these tones for w-a-a-y less.
I didn't expect to hear Octopus's Garden on crack when I clicked on this.
11/10.
the blues rocks
ОтветитьSounds nice
Especially liking that punchy ones (and the twangy for the neck pickup too maybe)
Even better yet: using hot rails
Or even better than that: using full size humbuckers in the neck and bridge position if your cavities allow it while using a hot rail in the middle
And then get some shit going with coil splitting and parallel/series
This was very helpful, thank you. Great playing 🙏
ОтветитьYou're some great player, dude. Kudos !
