The uselessness of Divi builder for custom body, lays in the fact that post content is the only lame module that you can use...of course it says is a simple and powerful module....if that was the case why bother to put another weak module in Divi in the first place
ОтветитьUseful, but so much 'I' strain. I don't care what you can do, I want to know what I can do.
ОтветитьI think I, switching from Divi to another page builder. I write and I'm not a web programmer but with divi I have had to continually figure out CSS and other stuff. I'm busy writing not wanting to program. Divi cant even keep pics the same size without me relearning a CSS command
ОтветитьDoes anyone know how to USE all of these header, body and footer to then replace it with your own content? To explain, all I want is to be able to bring up a template of a ‘post’ - so I can swap it out or add in my own content.. does anyone know how to do that? Thanks
ОтветитьSo, shouldn't you create a global body section as well to act as the catch all for elements placed within them, or is this not necessary?
ОтветитьVery informative. You answered a lot of my nagging questions. Thank you!
ОтветитьI need to speed up my divi site , can you give some insight as to how?
ОтветитьHow come I can't find how to import templates from 3.0+ to now? That really sucks that people pay for this theme and you guys don't even mention this very important feature.
ОтветитьThis just is not that easy as it's portrayed in these videos. That most basic functions to make sure a feature is working is really needed.
ОтветитьVery nice tutorial, many thanks my frend
Ответитьwhat about child themes for customization?
ОтветитьThis video is shit
ОтветитьThis video could be 1/3 length for all of things that are repeated more than once. I wanted it to have more insight into practical uses of templates, rather than showing the same screens over and over again. I was not very helpful.
ОтветитьHi, thank you for the video. I have a question. Do you also use the Post content module in the product template?
Ответитьhello, how do you set the featured image and title with the divi theme builder as shown in the video ?
ОтветитьWish this helped me. I need to add a gif to one of my subcategories. Totally lost.
ОтветитьCan you use the custom body for page content and not post content? How would that look?
ОтветитьGreat overview. Clearly explained. Thanks
Ответитьi learned nothing from this, i wanted to learn how to make dynamic pages with CUSTOM sections, you just kept importing saved ones...
ОтветитьWow!
ОтветитьShould have shown how to build the sections and not just import some.
ОтветитьI'd like to add a photo gallery included in every post. How about a video explaining how to accomplish that in the theme builder..?
ОтветитьWow, so that was great. You showed us how to jump from nothing to a premade header. Awesome so how do you make the header?
ОтветитьI learned a lot with this video but I am having trouble with building the cart page. No problems with the product page, I just don't understand how to build the cart page as a template. So far the only video I found on how to do so, was by a guy saying to create a template, assign it to the cart, insert a post module, then go back to the pages section, and open the cart page and edit that page. That makes no sense to me.I could do that without the new theme builder so I'm sure I missing something, but after days of searching the internet, it is the only video I have found on building the cart page with the new theme builder. I have even contacted Divi Support asking for help and they don't seem grasp the issue I am having. They keep giving me directions to things that I already know how to do. Can someone, anyone, please provide tutorial on building a cart and checkout page. Even just template that I can install and learn from that would be great! Thanks. I truly love these new theme option, 4.0 is amazing but I am stumped on the cart.
Ответитьwhere can I get your blog post layout?
ОтветитьHow did you get the menu items align to the right? In the options there is only available to "Left Aligned, Centered and Inline Centered Logo". It'd be nice to have the option of Right Aligned and also the possibility to make the menu Fixed without having to code.
ОтветитьI don't really understand how there's less usability in the theme builder section than there is in creating a normal menu that will scroll, change size, change colour etc. Surely people want that functionality on every page almost?
I'm also finding it frustrating to use the "post navigation module" at the moment, using only a single row section, you're expect the 'previous' and 'next' links to be at the left/right hand side of the screen respectively but they're bunched up to the left and I can't figure out the CSS to fix it. Changing the width to 90% allows me to "Align Centre" but it's still bunched over to the left with no natural spacing?
Don't get me wrong, it's amazing what's going on here and I do love it, but there's some real frustrating things that's ruining my workflow (social media follow module doesn't seem to agree with me either)
You have to use custom CSS to make the header sticky? Really? It seems like I should just be able to check a box to make it sticky or not. The feature to make it sticky but also different on scroll as you can with the regular theme's Header & Navigation > Fixed Navigation settings, isn't even an option? I'm sure if you're a CSS wiz you could pull it off but isn't Divi's entire marketing spill that you don't need to be a coder to use it? It's disappointing you have to use custom CSS to do things that should be fairly basic and was basic with the theme's built in header. I'm guessing having one non-sticky header then having a sticky "subscribe bar" below it can't be done without custom code either? These are things I've seen on other theme builders like elementor and oxygen and I was expecting Divi to at least compete with them. Divi is my favorite page builder by far and I appreciate the work that when into making it, but so far the theme builder seems to be missing some basic features. I'd be a little more forgiving of my criticism if the theme builder wasn't announced almost a year and a half ago but considering how long user's have been waiting, it's a little underwhelming.
Ответитьcan you please help me, in Divi theme builder, when I create page for custom post type , that I buy from codecaynon , this plugin has built in custom fields but divi builder not detected that fields, how I can use them?
ОтветитьYuck!
ОтветитьGreat Video !!, I would love to see more in detail version of this one, maybe making all from scratch Step by step. Thanks again for the constant updates!
ОтветитьHello, if I create a custom header as in your example with two rows one for the header and one for the secondary header (as it's not available to create a secondary header because you turn off the option from divi customiser) can I make it disappear on scroll?
Also, I would like to know how to adjust the size of the header on scroll (make it smaller) as it was available with the last version in divi from theme customiser -> fixed navigation settings -> fixed menu height.
Thank you!
PS: awesome update to v4
It's really not that helpful when you add stuff from your custom library. People new to the product need to learn HOW you created those custom elements. Seeing you add elements you already built deprives us of that learning opportunity.
ОтветитьGood job of the "how", but as a newbie to web design, I don't have the background to know the "when" and "why". Therefore, you are jumping over steps I need.
ОтветитьVery Clear Explanation .. Thanks heaps. I can see this new version as being a real game-changer .. once I get used to it of course. Well done to all who built it for us. Thanks again.
ОтветитьTheme builder is not showing up on my divi link - how can i change this?
ОтветитьWould have been nice to have you explain how to add the dynamic content and not just show what you have already created.
ОтветитьDoes not cover up the whole concept for me - do not get it, missing any intuitive usabiltiy. For example what is the matter with dynamic content? Seems just a low beginning for a theme builder. If you do not remember your settings, you have no clue whats going on with the website...
ОтветитьI jumped into the new theme builder, following the video tutorial I added a menu module--but no menu appears on phones! I checked and it is not disabled on phones. And I echo Nick's mention that we need a Sticky header for the menu. Also, in the video it shows adding an element that was created and saved to the Divi Library. SO I created a page, built a new section to use as my new header in the Theme Builder, saved it to the Divi Library, then when I went to import it as in the video NONE of my things saved in the DIvi Library were available to the header creator. I could add premade Divi themes and I could add pages. But I could not add anything from the Divi Library--so I added the page I created and edited that into the new header. This is a superb tool. I've been manually building custom global header and footer sections and saving them to the library to use on each new page. Thank you for this... okay, let's get the menu module working on mobile devices and let's get it stick! :^)
ОтветитьWhat is the hight of the divider???
ОтветитьFantastic. Thank you.
ОтветитьWhere find the global header ?
ОтветитьWhen I go to add Global Header and build it out from scratch, everything displays just fine, until I add the CSS to make the Header fixed and set the z-index to 999, at this point when I save and go to the frontend, the Header is partially covered at the top by the Admin Bar. Any way to fix this?
ОтветитьGreat! Thanks for All Divi Team!
ОтветитьWould be really nice to have a proper interface for sticky headers, where you can change the opacity upon scroll, make an entirely different header for sticky compared to the standard one, change the height of the sticky one, etc. Something like what Brizy and Oxygen allow you to do. Great to see the theme builder finally be a reality!
