ОтветитьVery nice song
ОтветитьIt reminds me the lineage of jiptah
ОтветитьBeautiful buffalo soldier
ОтветитьI love the music, reminds me of my high school days.
ОтветитьMost of those guys this song was made for were not slaves so why repeat this part in history over and over. Probably black America has to redefine itself and Panafricanism needs to be critically reviewed. Probably too much for those who struggle with survival but doable for those who don't.
ОтветитьVery good song

ОтветитьThe buffalo soldiers was Black Americans who ask to fight in the civil war against the south. Abraham Lincoln didn't free no slaves. He was mad at the south for getting rich off of slavery and want paying taxes. So you know the US of today don't even play that not paying taxes. We own nobody everybody own us. The union was getting there ass kick. Till they final said let the blacks fight them they want to fight. They gave them old weapons. the buffalo soldiers still turn the whole war around and free ourselves The name buffalo soldiers came from the so call native red indians. When they seen those black soldiers. So Abraham Lincoln can kiss my black ass. He said he hated to against the south he wish they would have followed the rules. They really want to rewrite history or get rid of the truth so it want to be told.

ОтветитьGreat song. What's painful (and Marley understood, but did not say aloud) is that the Buffalo Soldiers were sent out into Texas to hunt down and wipe out the Comanche and other indigenous peoples with whom they had much in common. Such was the fate of the Buffalo Soldier...

ОтветитьBuffalo soldier, dreadlocked rasta
There was a Buffalo Soldier in the heart of America
Stolen from Africa, brought to America
Fighting on arrival, fighting for survival
I mean it, when I analyse the stench
To me it makes a lot of sense
How the dreadlocked rasta was a Buffalo Soldier
And he was taken from Africa, brought to America
Fighting on arrival, fighting for survival
Said it was a Buffalo Soldier, dreadlocked Rasta
Buffalo Soldier in the heart of America
If you know your history
Then you would know where you're coming from
Then you wouldn't have to ask me
Who the 'eck do I think I am
I'm just a Buffalo Soldier in the heart of America
Stolen from Africa, brought to America
Said he was fighting on arrival, fighting for survival
Said he was a Buffalo Soldier, in the war for America
Said he, woy yoy yoy, woy yoy-yoy yoy
Woy yoy yoy yoy, yoy yoy-yoy yoy!
Woy yoy yoy, woy yoy-yoy yoy
Woy yoy yoy yoy, yoy yoy-yoy yoy!
Buffalo Soldier troddin' through the land, wo-ho-ooh!
Said he want to ran and then you want a hand
Troddin' through the land, yea-hea, yea-ea
Said he was a Buffalo Soldier in the war for America
Buffalo Soldier, dreadlocked Rasta
Fighting on arrival, fighting for survival
Driven from the mainland to the heart of the Caribbean
Said he, woy yoy yoy, woy yoy-yoy yoy
Woy yoy yoy yoy, yoy yoy-yoy yoy!
Woy yoy yoy, woy yoy-yoy yoy
Woy yoy yoy yoy, yoy yoy-yoy yoy!
Trodding through San Juan
In the arms of America
Trodding through Jamaica, a Buffalo Soldier
Fighting on arrival, fighting for survival
Buffalo Soldier, dreadlock rasta
Woy yoy yoy, woy yoy-yoy yoy
Woy yoy yoy yoy, yoy yoy-yoy yoy!
The song is very good
ОтветитьWho the hell is Abraham. Not who the heck do I think I am. Lol
