The park admittedly does look nice, but the rest of the city looks too much like a typical city of the American West. It's like aliens took a single photo of New York or Chicago and tried to reverse-engineer a smaller version of the ideal American city, but completely missed all the on-the-ground details that make those cities special. So you have a few highrise buildings, but still with wide streets, no subway or even light rail, and no real walkable neighbourhoods beyond a few recently built high-end shopping districts.

My city could use a 551 foot building to even out the skyline. Even a 551 foot icon would do wonders. Unfortunately nobody wants to build a larger tower here. The average of our five tallest buildings is 257 feet. Our tallest building is 385 feet and is a sister city to Tulsa.

We also have like 3-4 seasons of The First 48.

So glad you included our replica of the twin towers in the city. Its one of my favorites in our skyline. And the BOK center. I take care of the landscapes in the same neighborhood as the philbrook museum, some beautiful properties in tulsa.

Ive lived in Tulsa my whole life. Do not move here. If it wasnt for my moms health condition i wouldve been gone when i graduated.

This place is a liberal shit hole with homeless people all around these "great areas" that you've listed. They've damned up the Arkansas river to where it looks nothing like in the picture.

Be sure to also visit Will Rogers High School if you like art deco buildings. Also Church Studio on 3rd street West of Utica that was started by Leon Russell. No visit to Tulsa is complete until you have had a coney from Coney Island! Also try many of the food eateries on Peoria in Brookside.

Bad schools and a high poverty rate would rule it out as a place to relocate.

Black people built taulsa I just read the book so it's not native people who built tualsa African Americans built it and it was so advanced but white people had bombed most of other buildings and black people were the only people living in Taulsa it's so sad that they don't tell the real truth about Taulsa but bloody lies but this is the society where black people's history is stolen or washed away

Tulsa is a giant crap hole. I have lived all over the country and have lived in Tulsa the last two years. The worse roads in America. The crime rate is through the roof. Car in surance is twice as high as it is in Seattle. Home invasions and gang violence is off the chart. The people here are absolutely rude as hell they don’t have a polite hair on their body. The video wants to make it sound all nice and fuzzy when really it is no where near that. The illegal issue is a whole other ball game. Don’t be fooled by the video this place is no nice place.

Just wanted people to know that Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum presented a proposed municipal ordinance to aimed at cracking down on people experiencing homelessness. He introduced and raised literally every type of tax pushing business and people in poverty. Think twice before moving or living in tulsa county. I would recommend surrounding counties. Atlast most importantly don't vote for him again.

Tulsa has a small skyline because if tornadoes. I hear a lot of people argue that Tulsa is ugly due to a lack luster skyline, but it’s risky for the weather.

Also, this may be a niche activity but Turkey Mountain across the Arkansas river has professionally groomed mountain-biking park. They are still adding trails but it is already very impressive.

MASSACRE OF ‘BLACK WALL STREET’ IN THE GREENWOOD DISTRICT OF TULSA, OKLAHOMA USA 1921 (FEBRUARY 2023 BLACK HISTORY MONTH).

The east side is overrun with illegals. The mayor is always a full nut job. We had one get his car repossessed because he couldn't or wouldn't pay the payment. His dad had to get his car back ! The police chief is BLM, the entire north side has no grocery stores because the BLM crowd robs the stores blind and they can't be arrested. They closed the public pools because the lifeguards were getting beaten, robbed and killed. Even the cartels won't go to the north side. It's still way better than okc.

The Golden Driller statue is just magnificent. A very Oklahoma thing indeed.

The art deco architecture in Tulsa is directly linked to it's time as the Oil Capital. The oil boom funded much of the construction during a time when that style was popular.

Oklahoma also has great fresh water streams, rivers, lakes. Boating, fishing, hiking, camping, scenery! Also they have a great Zoo. Wildlife. All that I love. A diverse population which I love! Most people are friendly and welcoming. We got to visit the original burial place of the Gilcrease family. On my neighbors land. Thier cemetery was there. I have found interesting artifacts from an old fresh water spring that is tucked in the hills where I grew up. I still own that part. I always wanted to make it into a park area! My piece of heaven, my name for it.
