Sam is so humble. He always praises Frodo and others, but the minute someone praises him, he gets all shy and depreciates his obvious bravery and loyalty.

The Lord of the Rings IS The story of Samwise the Brave. Unlike any Baggins, Took , or Brandybuck...The son of the Gaffer is steadfastly devoted to his purpose and more importantly his promise. "Don't you leave him" Even when Frodo is lost, Sam never leaves.

I love how they each imagine the other as the star of their future story rather than themselves. (Sam envisions Frodo as the one everybody will talk about, while Frodo believes Sam should be the focus of their story). They never take each other for granted. It’s so beautiful.

The only reason why it took so long for Frodo and Sam to reach middle earth is cause they had to carry Sam's massive balls with him. Ever since the beginning, the man has not hesitated to take action and do what must be done (he legit charged and was ready to throw hands with the Witch-King in order to keep Frodo safe)

we all should be more like samwise the brave. because the world would be a better place if more people were like samvise. so remember if you don't have sam in your life, then be a sam to someone.

I love that after all the battles, emotional moments and epic scenery the films end with Frodo and Sam! This has to be my favourite moment in the whole trilogy!

I’ve always loved Sam. He stands in stark contrast to the rest of the fellowship. You have these amazing warriors and leaders in Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, and Gandalf. But Sam was so simple. His love of Frodo and his promise to Gandalf carried him through his insane journey

Just reread this part in the book. I have a ton of criticisms of the movies, but even transposed in location and position, this exchange is beautifully rendered.

Sam gets the great amazing ending in all three films, as he should.

On November 8th I had to put down my Chocolate Lab Samwise.

I’m a huge LOTR fan and we actually got to listen to the audiobook trilogy read by Andy Serkis (I found it on a purely curious search) and finished Return of the King two days before what would be his last trip to the vet so he got to hear in full the story from which I derived his name. I got his ashes and paw print back today so I’m looping this clip in honor of the goodest of boys.

Samwise you are still dearly missed.

sam really is the best character in LoTR, hes no epic adventurer, he wont slay a dragon or fight saluron, he doenst need to. a man of pure hard, and a beautiful representation of what masculinity could be

I swear this film is just full of meaningful and heartwarming dialogue... doesn't feel cliche or forced at all. It's timeless. Inspired my life so much. Taught me resilience, belief in good even when things don't look quite positive and just carry on working and building towards better times. "Even darkness must pass"

I remember when I finished reading the trilogy, I thought what stories would be told about the War of the Ring. They'd probably be focused on battles and the king's return, Frodo would be mentioned, and probably Sam (although it was he who carried the whole thing). The crucial role of Gollum in the climax would probably be forgotten completely.
