My 2017 1.4t has a extended crank time/hard to start. Sporadic. No faults,no misfires, runs great. Checked mechanical pump and replaced cam follower. Still happens.
I would imagine id need to find out if im losing residual fuel pressure? Carbon build up?
I have a 2014 Jetta and it has got and issue with intermittently not starting. Got a brand new battery and still no fix, asked around and got to know it’s an issue with crankshaft position sensor and it’s pretty common in Jetta. Can you please let me know if it’s true? Can I try replacing it myself without any major problems?
ОтветитьI was angry with my window problem. I would click up and the window would go down. So frustrating
ОтветитьI have a 2012 Jetta s and I’m not sure what the issue is but it has a hard time starting but than once it’s warmed up it’s all good to go sometimes when it’s not warmed up fully it chokes and stalls I haven’t been able to find the problem. If anyone knows what the issue is it would help a lot thanks
ОтветитьI like you guys content. But would you do one on this car for the TDI only
ОтветитьMy son has a Tiguan and it's been pretty good other than the coils but I had a Jetta and it was a lot more problems
ОтветитьWilll that make my EPC LIGHT go on?
ОтветитьI own a 2014 2.0 Jetta S and the only major problem i’ve ever had was a misfire in cylinder 3, i just needed a new set of wires. Everything else has been fine, i change the spark plugs and oil regularly. I also cleaned my throttle body, put a new fuel filter and new fuel injectors. Also got a tuner chip, K&N filter and the car runs strong n smooth.
ОтветитьThanks man for the benefited video and good advices 🤝✅️
ОтветитьOn startup only a cloud of smoke comes out of the exhaust on my 2015 2.0
I think it’s bad rings as it burns a bit of oil between oil changes
anyone knows where the temp sensors are supposed to be 2 only found 1 and that’s the bottom radiator hose.
ОтветитьToo funny. I've replaced every single one of these problems on my 2013 2.0, except for the windshield wiper motor (147k miles). Which now that I say that is bound to go out.
Good video.
2014 vw jetta pushing 333000km 2.0L headlights are like playing twister lol great car. I’ve replaced the plugs and coil. Rear brakes and fixed the exhaust. Drives like a tank in the snow.
Ответить1 - Coilpacks.
laughs in TDI
I HAVE THE BULB ISSUE THE REGULATOR AND THE COIL PACK BUT OTHER THAN THAT NEVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE PUMP I HAVE 143000 THE QUALITY HAS GONE DOWN CHEAP PLASTIC INTERIOR IT'S A 2015
ОтветитьI have a 2016 1.8tsi. Do you know where is the location of the ignition knock sensor?
ОтветитьI have 230000 km on my Jetta 2011 2.0 gas it drives well and I got none of these issues mentioned. The only problem that I have is a leak in the catalic converter or somewhere around there affect the gas mileage it also threw a check engine light but otherwise great car
ОтветитьReplaced a ton of bulbs 😂 on mine . You tenuous man
ОтветитьHi I was trying to see if you know what would cause a loud humming while accelerating in 5th gear and stops when you take you foot off the gas. I have a 2012 VW Jetta 2.0l Manuel. Thanks
ОтветитьI’d say if you’re a hard driver replace timing belt and water pump at 75k for service.
Ответить2014 Jetta SE 1.8t 147000. Been good overall. Replaced the sparks, coils, rear brake pads, right cv axle seal, and vvt electromagnet at 101000 at 120000 replacement of front pads. At 147000 replaced timeing chain cover seal.
ОтветитьI hate this car. There's always something wrong with it ' 14 SE used. I read such great reviews from owners and thought it was a safe choice. Sorry to vent, so frustrated and disappointed.
ОтветитьBasically everything they listed is normal wear items
ОтветитьMy vw Jetta 2011 hazards light won’t cut off draining battery ???
ОтветитьThis is one of the most helpful videos I have watched in a while. Thank you!
Ответитьso little wrong with them that all they can add to the list is regular maintenance xD
ОтветитьI have a question, my 2015 Jetta just threw a active grille shutter code. It is saying it's stuck open. My question is what to do to troubleshoot it? I've tried to locate the fuse, but with no luck. Also can't find anything on how to, find the sensor, or replace. Can someone help??
Ответить1,2,3 and 5 had happened to my 2014 Jetta S. The coil pack was scary when it happened.
ОтветитьI bought my jetta from 2011 five years ago, has now 150.000 km on counter and I since now I never had any problems with it, no extra costs or things to repair. It still drives like the day I bought it. That car is just from outstanding quality and I never regretted buying it. Probably My next car will be a Jetta as well cause of the good experience with the one I own right now
ОтветитьI have a 2017 Jetta TSI to date 105k miles ZERO problems.
ОтветитьPutting that headlight bulb back in makes u want to sell the whole car.
Ответитьmy recently purchased jetta feels like it guzzles down gas I will only go 10 miles and the gas gauge is already down a notch and half and when I fill up it will only get 345 miles on a full tank. I can't find anything anywhere about this problem and the dealership just gas lights me telling me it's my driving
ОтветитьI keep seeing people talk about 2.5 engines but even though I'm in europe I only see 1.2 and 1.4 for sale... how is that
ОтветитьI will never ever buy a VW!!!
ОтветитьWhat about heated seats? Do you guys know what causes both to stop working at once. It’s not a fuse.
ОтветитьThe 2.5L Jetta is more reliable.
Ответить2014 Jetta s my mechanic can’t figure out why my gas gauge is always messing up. The bars won’t show up. I put half a tank in the number of miles left to fill up changes all the time. And low fuel tank will pop up on 60 miles or it’ll drop down to no gas Jettas suck
ОтветитьThis makes me feel better about my 2011 jetta lol
Ответить1.8 TSI ENGINE FAILURE ...
ОтветитьI HAD THE SAME PROBLEM EXCEPT THE CONTROL ARM OR PUMP YET. I GOT 127000 MILES ON MINE
ОтветитьEngine 2.slow from late 90s early 2000s **
ОтветитьI just got rid of my 2016 Jetta 1.8t sel for a 2020 Jetta GLI Autobahn and let me tell you I’m so happy I got it. My old Jetta 1.8t I had to do transmission fluid change, oil change every month, filters, battery replacement, ac compressor replaced, coolant leak, burns oil like crazy. Sometimes engine will click before turning over. Had gotten new tires, brakes, wipers. And let me tell you it was not worth the money. Just get rid of it or trade it in as is with no issues displayed or noticeable and they’ll take it at carmax or anywhere. Had almost 100k miles and got almost 12k for mine with a door dent. Whoop whoop
ОтветитьI own a 2014 jetta ur on point 5/5 👍
Ответитьi have a 2016 jetta mkvI no problems yet, it runs like a champ.
ОтветитьThe mk6 2.5se has a common oil leak, and it comes from the vacuum pump. You can either buy a delete kit, a reseal kit, or just get it replaced.
ОтветитьI own a 2013 VW Jetta with the 5 cylinder 2.5 engine. I live in a very hot and sunny place, one of the biggest problems in general with every VW I ever owned is that the headliner glue gets bad and the whole headliner hangs from the ceiling. This happens around 6-7 years from exposure to hot weather and sun. The headliner for this car (specially if you have a sunroof) is really expensive!
ОтветитьI have a Jetta that shakes the idle goes up and down any ideas ?
ОтветитьHey guys! You guys should do a video on the 2000-2007 jaguar S types
Ответить1.6 TDI is the worst one you can buy. Definitely not built with longevity in mind. A year doesn't go by with a major issue
