You go to a drug trafficking area that the local government can’t deal with that’s why all countries in the area set up cooperation agreement to operate forces to destroy the drug trafficking organization. I’ve been to northen laos that’s like 100 kilometers for a police to be seen . You either get shot and killed by those drug trafficking groups or you cooperate with stronger forces to fight it , what do you expect . US spends a lot on coast guard and boarder guard that prevent drugs entering the country , so are the countries in the golden triangle region .
