Huawei Watch 4 Pro Review | The Ultimate £500 Smartwatch?

Hey, thanks for having a watch of my Watch 4 Pro review. I'm still wearing it, still enjoying it despite the lack of contactless payments and proper notification support. Oh, and me and Celia aren't talking much these days...

I bought the Watch 4 and the sleep tracking is terrible. I was already snoring and the watch started tracking 2 hours later. This happens so much often. Not sure what can be done to improve the accuracy

I am trying to purchase this watch in the United States. Huawei support will not respond. Do you know where I can purchase one?

Beautiful watch but utterly pointless in the UK... only Vodafone supports eSim for this watch? EE, three and O2 want nothing to do with it and won't provide esim.

How long does the battery last with aod on and in normal mode? I get 3-4 days in my watch 3 pro.

the problem arises when you need to connect an e sim card so that it works on a single number , by no means allows via huawei healt to connect an e sim card that has already been activated on the phone always writes that the provider does not support this option and I see that this is generally a problem in all countries

Does Huawei watch 4 support eSIM connectivity in India?

Great review Chris, I've followed you for an age and have progressed from the GT2 to the GT2 Pro and now currently use the GT3 Pro. Is anybody else experiencing terrible battery life since the last upgrade? I used to get a solid 14 days per charge. This had dropped to about 7 days per charge and I haven't added or activated any additional sensors? I was hoping to downgrade the firmware but that's not an option. Any advise/help gratefully received.

Does this come with blood sugar assessment feature?

For anyone wondering, the Titanium Watch 4 PRO strap dosnt fit the GT3 PRO.

I got watch 4 pro to replace my GT3 Pro, it's an amazing looking watch, i love the fact the LTPO display allows proper AOD watch faces.
It seems to run two OS on two processors, if you enable low power mode it turns into a GT3, it takes a while to re boot into normal mode when you change it.
Ive found some watch faces need to be installed twice, if u want to use them in normal mode and low power mode.
Its easily the best looking smartwatch at the moment.

Unless i missed it, was battery life not mentioned because you've been told not to?
From what i hear, it's really poor but I suppose the battery life of most smart watches are absolute dog turd.

My problem with Huawei GT3 Pro and the GT Runner was, that the media control always disappear when not used for a short time (30 sec – 1 min) or when the display turns off.
When I was operated my media player on the phone from the watch, this was so annoying with Huawei Watch.
Every time when I wanted to switch the track, I had to go to the menu and select the media control menu, each time I like to use it, because after short time when I raised my hand the dial was coming back at the display.
No other Smartwatch here (Apple Watch, TicWatch Pro or Oppo Watch) have the same weird behavior, only the Huawei.
Is the behavior the same with the media control on the new Huawei Watch 4 Pro?

I am so close of adding the gt4 pro watch to cart. I have a gt2 pro. Should I upgrade? Does the difference of money is worth it? I have never been so unsure in my life. Oh, cool, ekg and esim, but does it worth it? damn it, decisions decisions.

huawei health can not sync heart rate to strava and can not export gpx with heart rate data. its useless since huawei keep my health data in their ecosystem only.

Apart from the ECG feature, the Huawei GT3 Pro does most of these features for much less. Still Saffire crystal, still titanium housing for much less. I am using it daily and it works great. UI looks very similar too.

I bought the gt3 pro, was promised ECG, NFC etc. None of which ever materialised. I noticed the speaker on the watch had an intermittent fault after buying, then the battery started to drain within one day. I sent it back for repair twice internationally at my expense, both times had the watch back with the exact same fault. Try calling customer service in the UK before you buy because it doesn't exist. Will never ever spend a single penny on devices from this company again. They make specifications look good on paper but reality is very different.

Doesn't support send or receive phone calls over Wi-Fi which is quite a handy feature when you are at home as you can leave your mobile phone anywhere in the house and of course no Google pay. Compatibility issues as usual with Apple but at least it's somewhat usable unlike Samsung watch. Unfortunately the smart phone space has been captured by Samsung and Apple and they don't want to play with anybody else. Huawei Mobile in our country is basically useless because of their Google play exit. I had the Huawei pro 2 certainly the nicest real looking Smart watch I've ever had, excellent battery life but limited function. I've had an Apple Watch and now currently Samsung5 pro.

Where is the freediving mode?

Very strange you still need to open petal maps on your smartphone for navigation and than it is even only turn by turn navigation and not full map navigation so not better than the GT3 pro, a real dissapointement this watch 4 pro !!!

Battery life you mention is incorrect. If heart, stress, O2, temperature sensors are all ON and wifi OFF, e-sim not installed, no excersising, no messaging, no AOD, and very limiting use of the watch the max. is 2 days !!!! There is an irritating lag of almost 2 seconds, the curved screen gives irritating reflections and in general the watch reacts slow. Moreover there is no NFC, ECG, e-sim support and blood sugar functions in The Netherlands.

Why I can't find blood glucose monitoring? I have set china as location while setting up a new account. Anyone managed to get this feature working?
