NORTHEAST INDIA SHINES WITH CLEANEST AIR, AIZAWL TOPS THE LIST

On November 21, 2024, Aizawl, Guwahati, and Nagaon emerged as some of the cleanest cities in India for air quality, offering a stark contrast to the pollution crisis in Delhi. Aizawl led the charge with an impressive Air Quality Index (AQI) of 32, categorized as "Good." Guwahati followed closely with an AQI of 42, while Nagaon registered a satisfactory rating of 56. In comparison, Delhi’s AQI reached alarming levels, with areas like Wazirpur at 436 and Bawana at 418, severely affecting visibility and transportation. The excellent air quality in Northeast cities highlights the need for better air quality management in urban areas across the country.
