The problem I have is most with a new builder like me is that I can’t find most of the blocks people mainly use that I would like to use and I still haven’t and it’s a nightmare

I don’t think the issue is building it’s finding the blocks to build with. I didn’t even know there was mf glowing moss block plating or whatever

This is incredible! I know it’s a two year old video, so I totally understand if you don’t remember, but do you recall which stone walls/blocks you used to accent the tower in the medieval style house? It looks like there are a couple different ones, but I’m not super familiar with all the different options and don’t recognize them offhand.

What I’ve been doing is taking on larger challenges in my play throughs to force me to spend more time on that world

I would give one kind of obvious tip,

Ignore the colour of blocks, look at loads of blocks and how they combine when you place multiple and things like that, then paint it. I am quite often biased towards brown blocks for example when making wood, but really some super colourful blocks have a good wood texture when painted brown

I was using a standard 15x6 as all rooms. This made me realize it is not as good as it sounds in my mind.
