probably clogged with dirt and hair since its an air spinning head. Its a huge flaw in air driven units.
ОтветитьI wish I could post a video. Once you take the back cover off, there’s a rubber piece by the grey arrows. If I push the rubber part in it spins like crazy 🤷🏻♀️ I thought I was missing a piece for a minute.
ОтветитьTook the turbine head apart and cleaned everything ; but all I needed to do was pull the red filter out a bit! Turbine head is working again - Thank you 😊
ОтветитьSame issue. Dyson charges a lot of $, but uses cheap a** plastic for the internal gears that crack. You need to be a surgeon to fix this yourself. Buy a knockoff brand, or buy a shark
ОтветитьOn my DC11
ОтветитьI have the same issue
ОтветитьI unscrewed the plastic cover and took it off. the beater brush is actually 2 separate parts which I twisted off and cleaned out a lot of hair from both sides. I put it back together and the brush did move but not with much power. I noticed a needle in the plastic tubing and managed to remove that and I've filled the little hole with silicone caulking. I'll let it dry and see if that makes any difference. If not, I'll have to try to buy a replacement head.
ОтветитьMany thanks for your video. I took it all apart as demonstrated, but did not take out the last item, being the hidden screw. I took a risk, put the unit in the vice so that I could slightly open the case with a screwdriver & then squirt silicon spray down the opening. All works fine now, & you saved me the cost of a replacement. Harry Abell
ОтветитьDid you buy a ginuwine replacement or one of the generic ones to replace it? If so, what do you recommend
ОтветитьI took the whole head apart got to the small white cracked broken turbine. Removed it , I glued it together with super glue and bicarbonate of soda fill all the cracks and crevices to harden the whole piece . Use the glue first then sprinkle with the bicarb remove excess soda and reassemble the head. I had no chance of finding a new turbine only way I could fix it 😉 good luck
Ответитьmine has done the same thing I threw it off a nearby dam
ОтветитьRemove the clear plastic cover on top of the beater bar (5 screws holding it on). Pull the beater bars off (2 of them). Clean the gunk off them and reassemble. I have the same vacuum and this happened to mine.
Ответитьawaiting mine back in the mail, they replaced the turbine head for me under warranty after sending it in for diagnostics. thanks dyson :)
ОтветитьIs there some hose or adaptor that i can purshase so that my Dc 23 power floor tools will connect to my Dc 32 or my Dc 34 animal?
Ответитьpull the red button out
Ответитьmisleading description
ОтветитьMy vacuum failed in exactly the same way; the white impeller fan that drives the brush head split in two and no longer turns freely. It is a bummer that they don't sell that single part, because it doesn't look like it should cost more than a few bucks to replace.
Update: I was able to repair it with a $2.50 tube of crazy glue. I was able to get a pair of super-long needle-nose pliers into the fan housing to pinch the two halves back together and dribble a little glue along the crack line, and around the axle. Amazingly, it worked! Who knows for how long though.
You need to remove the two roller brushes and clean them periodically. They get tangled with hair and dirt and will stop turning. Easy to do they just twist off. It makes a huge difference.
ОтветитьThanks a Million! It worked!
Ответитьyou have to get a new brush motor...the whole thing, fyi.......the motor goes in this model.
