That Cylon pilot is not only humorous, but extremely cocky. As the Pegasus is headed right for Baltar's ship, the Cylon pilot does not take evasive maneuvers. The Cylon clearly sees the Pegasus, but is also waiting to get Baltar's reaction. Then, receiving his reward of a terrified Baltar, the Cylon turns away from the Pegasus at the last second. Yet, even at point blank range, the Pegasus laser canons miss the Cylon ship (in part 2). The likely reason for this is given in the prior scene when Baltar commands Lucifer to provide him a ship with his two best pilots.
ОтветитьThis show was actually ahead of its time for 1978. Still fun to watch today. I did like Ron Moore's version, but the original had a classic golden age science-fiction charm to it.
ОтветитьI know baltar was stupid but really engaging any capital ship with fighters?? The cylons in general were too dumb to have ever won that war. They never once considered making bombers or torpedos??? I mean there's a reason they call them BATTLE stars....
ОтветитьI always loved how in BSG, they never launched the CAP until the enemies were right on top of them.
ОтветитьSo why didn't the other Cylons tell Baltar and Lucifer that the Battlestar Pegasus kept attacking the base on Gamorey and raiding their fuel and ammunition?
Still, my favorite two-part episode from a great series.
No, It’s a Battlestar! OMG I had forgotten how Sassy and Sarcastic those Cylons were 🤣😂🤣😅🤣
ОтветитьIt's funny how everything is perfect English except for references to time. LOL
ОтветитьI've just been flicking through the channels on my smart TV and the horror channel battle star galactica on and I forgotten how much I loved this show when I was little.
ОтветитьWhen I was a kid, it always annoyed me that Baltar's helmet wasn't sitting right - and it does to this day xD
ОтветитьHe chose a very bad day to stop sniffing glue....
ОтветитьOf course, Baltar must 've understood that the moment he finished off the last remaining battlestar, he would be finished off as well. So he must have failed on purpose every time, only making it look like he really tried. The Cylons (at least the higher ones, such as the IL-series) must have known he did so, but probably decided to play along as he still allowed them to track their target better than they could have on their own, even if he 'failed' at the last instant every time.
ОтветитьThe initial look of Terror on Baltar face when he first saw the Pegasus Absolutely Priceless.
Ответитьlove those old school cylons with the robot voice and back and forth red eye light ... and ever so shiny! They spend hours buffing themselves every day !
ОтветитьThe Cylons were always witty and very human at times. Like when Redeye sees that Colonial Blaster on Apollo's hip at the showdown, he says "Uh oh"
ОтветитьHahaha, that Cylon pilot for Baltar. Did he have the ability to think of taunting Baltar that way... Or was that a genuine Cylon response? "Look out for that other Battlestar!"... "What Battlestar?" 😅🎉
ОтветитьThis was my favorite episode. There is a parody of this, Gary the Cylon - Episode 3.
ОтветитьCain plays the Air Traffic Towe Supervisor in Airplane Movies who says "Looks like I picked the wrong time to quit smoking."
ОтветитьDang it, now I gotta wait til next week to watch part 2!
ОтветитьBaltar: "This is going to be a classic defeat, spoken of throughout the star system for a thousand yarhens!"
Cylon Pilot: "You're right, sir, but not for the reason you think."
I do believe he was the voice of apocalypse in the x-men 90s cartoon.
ОтветитьLong live the Atlantia Death Squadron Cylon Raider squadron tasked with the attack upon the battlestar Atlantia during the Battle of Cimtar . 💀
