I find it sad that those accused of bullying when they were young in middle school are so quickly "cancelled" as we say in the US... but those with more adult SA accusations seem to be more easily given the benefit of the doubt. Even if the allegations against the actors for bullying while in middle school were true, people grow and change a lot between that age and being adults. The prefrontal cortex (the part that is involved in judgement and higher level thinking) of our brains is not even fully developed until around 18 for girls and as late as their early 20s for boys. I was bullied myself and while I think it is something that needs to be seriously dealt with at the time it is happening; I do not think it is correct to punish adults for what they did as kids. IF it can be shown that they have continued that behavior into adulthood that is different. Kids that engage in bullying behaviors often have mental health issues themselves. So it is important that any incidents of bullying among kids is investigated and all receive help for any emotional damage; it just does not seem right to permanently punish someone who has worked hard to earn success and hasn't had any complaints against them as adults. If the bullying was true... then if the actor gives a genuine apology that should be enough. It seems though that some of these actors are pressured into giving apologies whether the accusations are proven or not.

It is ridiculous that actors can lose parts because of the internet and strange posts. No more gossip

Wow it’s tough being an actor in Korea. The social media has such a high standard for Korean actors & actress. Even bring out their past as a young teenagers. They are humans just like us. They are not gods. We all make mistakes. We are not perfect.

I knew of this actor Kim Seon Ho after I saw a variety progrmme he was in. I was then 😮wow what really good looking actor...He should be listen as one the top ten most handsome Korean actors. Very disappointed when I saw this video on him...he should be a very popular young star.

The way a lot of shows depict Korean society in general it seems bullying is very normal there, they make it look like a very classist society were age, social status, seniority at work etc. determine how people are treated, so it just seems normal that bullying happen in school, I'm all for people being held accountable for their actions, but I believe in innocent until proven guilty and it seem that is not the case in Korea, also to me there is a big difference between bullying and having an argument even a fight, pranking someone, even making stupid jokes once in a while to people that you hang around with, is part of being young.

I was really surprised to know people actually enjoyed Glory drama which was full of voyeurism and revenge plot ..i just couldnt even finish a single episode..

You, the media, are mostly responsible in sharing what's true. Netizens will believe even though the information given is not verified. And the aftermath and consequences are vicious. Lives are ruined. Please be responsible on what you, the media share. You will become accessory to unwanted suicide like what happens to young idols.

How dramatic this all seems, whereas when actors and actresses are abused at work, no actions are taken. Law should be for all whether you're powerful producers or directors.

Korean Dramas are popular because most of the time their writing is superior to Hollywood.
Hollywood has changed so much that the only thing they are good at is writing mediocre movie scripts and creating bad remakes.

I don't get it. Those who accuse them of bullying, wait for those people to become famous and when they're in their peak, they just drop the bomb? What are they getting from all this? If they were hurt and wanted apology they should've expose them while they were still at school. Even if it's true, what's the point of exposing them 5 or 10 years later? 🤔
And why are companies so dependent on some stupid claims, that would probably never be confirmed or denied? They make the actors apologize even if they're not guilty, so what's the point of all this show?

Some of these scandals are shocking for Korean standards, but American standards... NOPE. Most of these scandals would mean nothing. Interesting how countries are so different. I hope to see many of these actors back on Kdrama. As an American, I LOVE Kdrama, which is much better than American drama.

Wow, it's so confusing and absurd to say the least on how these artist are being censored and some lives are being ruined because of what happened in the past true or not. The criteria should be based on their integrity now, at present not on their past. As one commented most of the KDrama portrayed bullying of some sort. It gives me the chills with some of the outcomes of supposed controversies. These artists are humans, as humans we all make mistakes, makes wrong choices but should not be just condemned and ruin their livelihood.

Why is the commentator speaking so fast?? You have a lot of English-speaking viewers and you don’t take that into consideration when you have commentators that can hardly speak English or like this commentator race through the information

No one is perfect what happened in the past stay in the past it’s what happening now they should concentrate on everyone has a bad pass at some point but it’s what their doing now that counts

I’m from USA and have been watching k-dramas for 5 yrs. I think bullying when young shouldn’t affect their careers. Who didn’t talk about fellow students in school. I did. Should I lose my job over it? My personal life is no-ones business.Sexual assault is different.
