One thing i want to add
Is the mental fatigue you get from owning a new car
it gets scratched
It gets a small new dent every month or two
With the beater you don’t care
As long as it’s starts that’s that matters
But
I I’ll add one more point
People treat you differently when you have a nice car
I’ve been through it
I’d suggest getting two cars
One for the looks
And one for your daily commute
If you have the money off course
this is the nicest beater car i’ve seen
ОтветитьAn added benefit is that it's a manual! Those are more fun to drive.
ОтветитьBought a new Honda Civic Del Sol in 1993 and still drive it daily. Enough said!
ОтветитьI am in Canada; bought a 2009 Honda CRV new and am still driving it. Over 300km so far and no sign of problems.
No silly high tech stuff that you don't need and therefore don't have to service/repair. I can back up with no camera, just fine!
😃
great video… love it. i am here because I am considering one used yet reliable car like this for a daily drive.
this is great but what is your advice for those who are not mechanicaly inclined?
those who have less knowledge in cars?
How much did you pay for it?
ОтветитьI bought my Nissan Versa 2014 in absolutely clean perfect condition 10/10 for 9000. I used credit coz its convinient for me. I didnt have that 9000. I am glad coz i will pay it off in 6 months total.
ОтветитьI drive a 1998 Lexus GS 400 with 249k miles. It's a Florida car with no rust or leaks and still ride better than new cars.
Ответитьive been tricked into getting a payment for a jetta it was 600$ a month and my mother did not explain to me that i COULD NOT afford that shit anyway it got repod Years later i got me a pos hyundai and i didnt have time to pay the bank nothing :)
ОтветитьThat’s a cool car man 👍
ОтветитьHonda civics last forever!! Beater or not 💯💯💯
ОтветитьNot having to worry about a monthly car payment is worth more than anything. I would kill to have a beater like that. Mines an 05 Jetta and transmissions starting failing, it’s got quite a few dents, A/C cools but struggles, but it still gets me from point A to point B. Hope I find a nice one like this once mine gives out. NGL I’ll be heartbroken cause it’s my first car and I’ve had it for over 10 years now.
ОтветитьFor many people, having high end cars is a hobby. Much more than just a means of getting from A to B. We want a certain level of engagement/driving dynamic that many older cars can't deliver. Buying a used car will almost always be a better financial decision though. An important distinction though, is that simply because something is not the smartest financial decision you could make does not mean it is a purchase that you would regret making, or that it is something that isn't in your budget. Not the smartest financial decision does not always equal not worth buying. In many cases, the thrill factor and engagement many cars these days offer is priceless. Nothing wrong with buying a cheap/older car though. Just depends on what you get enjoyment out of in life.
ОтветитьSame reason your clothes are threadbare - ya broke
ОтветитьLove that car! Great generation of Honda Civic Si. Run it forever! Cheers!
ОтветитьOne thing you need to fix is your seat. Your back is not touching the back of the seat. lol
ОтветитьIt's better to buy a used car, but in good shape mechanical speaking, than spending money for new cars which btw are just walking piles of plastic.
If I would buy a new car, the only brand I would choose is Toyota, and it would be a hybrid, and thats it.
I drive a Honda element 2005 I paid 3500 for it.nothing like a cash car no note.
ОтветитьI bought my house in 2019, when my only vehicle was a 1997 Toyota 4Runner. I was 27 then. I regret buying my truck, I have a 2021 Ram 1500 4x4 now...I paid it off in about 6 months, but I still regret paying that much freaking money for a vehicle...
ОтветитьI've got a 2009 honda civic. Love it. Can't think of a reason to want anything else.
Ответитьlol In no part of the US is this a "beater" car. "Used" or "Old" sure, but by no means is this a beater.
ОтветитьI like not worrying about it getting dinged up.
ОтветитьLMAO. That's not a beater. You must have been born with a silver spoon in your mouth. How spoiled are you?
ОтветитьAppreciate the honesty
ОтветитьI drive an Si. After 17 years, it's still fun to drive.
ОтветитьLove my 08 civic its my daily for when i dont want to put mileage on my corvettw
ОтветитьA beater? You know how many people would love to have that car? You’re weird for this
ОтветитьI have a 2002 Camry 260,000k miles. It still runs great but I no longer feel safe on the roads I drive mostly due to how slow it is merging onto highways. It’s showing its age and I have just got a new car.
ОтветитьIf u can buy an old car and use it for 7 yrs...you can buy a brand new car and use it for 20
ОтветитьGood video 👍
Ответитьdriving a 2002 EP3 270k miles. 270k miles more to go and counting I hope 😂😂
Ответить8,000 redline. Awesome.
ОтветитьYou love your car at the end of the day. How about the beginning of the day?
ОтветитьI drive my sold my 2018 BMW and kept my ol' Jag because it's easier to fix rather than the semi-newer (by year) BMW! The engineering on newer cars with various models get on my nerves!
ОтветитьThat gen Civic Si came without power steering? Sure it isn't a somewhat heavy hydraulic steering?
ОтветитьSmart well will pay for your next car
ОтветитьI have an 05 corolla xrs 6 speed. I still use it. Work great and fun to drive much like your si! Long live the high revving 4 bangers! 🤘🤘
ОтветитьCan’t go wrong with an SI. Just buy new headlights and fix the rust chips and it’s practically new.
ОтветитьCars are $$$. It sucks with the market.
Ответить201,140 on my 07 fg2 yessir
Ответить8th gen Civics are amazing cars, you need to take care of it though get those headlights fixed and polish her up.
ОтветитьYour ABS and MIL are both on. So uh.. probably should have that looked at.
ОтветитьGood choice , financial freedom is important
ОтветитьThese cars can actually be fixed by the owner, not like the crap they sell today.
ОтветитьIs it cheap? Yes. is it safe?
ОтветитьI would love you car. My 05 civic 5 speed is getting fixed wish it was the si but over the year 05
ОтветитьThey should have never stop making the k24
