Let's do no income tax. I could finally take my son on a vacation on my paid week off of work, which I've never been able to do bc I don't have a partner to share my bills with, so there is no extra money at the end of th month. I would love to get the chance to plan trips with my son, and get excited about going somewhere he has showed interest in visiting in this great country before he grows up and heads out into the world. My Dad was able to take me places. I loved the mountains growing up and he would take me to a different place in the mountains every year so by the time I graduated high school, I had visited pretty much every mountain range in the USA. Looking back I cherished those trips with him so much, and hope I have the means to share similar experiences with my son as he grows up. We all have to have something new to look forward too. Surprises that make us feel alive. The feeling of "discovering " your new favorite place. Oh its one of the best feelings I've felt while being alive, finding my new favorite place, finding his new favorite place. Quality time out in the world living, adventuring, and sharing time with the ones we love best

When I see Rand Paul in Vivek Ramaswamy together I get nervous. (It gives me hope)

To your question if we are one nation. I would say that fundamentally we are, but on the broader scope we are at best 2 nations, where one still believes in American greatness, the Constitution and the rule of law. Then there is the other side that wants to fundamentally destroy everything that group one holds so dear! They want to destroy the Constitution, claiming it was written for a country that no longer exists and who think the rule of law is to strict and they want to basically neuter it to the point we may as well not have a rule of law!

Basically they want to usher in socialism/communism but their biggest mistake wanting that is very few of them would actually be welcome to live in that country they so desperately want for us and most of them based on their way of thinking would put them behind bars for life! So basically we have one side and I am convinced it is the majority that want America as it was founded and we have another side that wants something that is the exact opposite and I say to them, there are a number of countries that are already right in line with how they think and they are more than welcome to pack their bags and MOVE!

If you trust the "people" to do anything, it's futile. There are factional intersectional interests within the demos: age, class, long/mid/short term, etc., that will always clash. The boomers will vote in their capitalist best interest and zoomers will vote in their socialist best interest. No one will care about the long term or mid term of the country.

Nancy Pelosi was voted in for 30 years straight and never held accountable for anything. I can name hundreds of career politicians who were never held accountable for lack of achieving goals. Most people will follow the leaders or the crowd.

The Warnings of Liberals of Old:

- John Locke said a Liberal society should not have atheists in positions of power.

- Adam Smith said that free markets should not be applied to the military, legal/justice system, education, and infrastructure. He also said free markets would only work for moral people with integrity and honesty. He warned against unchecked self-interest that could lead to fraud, scams, and monopolies.

- John Adams, whose Massachusetts constitution was chosen as a template for the federal constitution over all the other failing state constitutions(the executive had way more power than the other constitutions), said that this constitution "was made for a wholly moral and righteous people and none other." The quote goes on to say that it would not work for any other group of people in the world at that time and described a particularity of this experiment. Thomas Jefferson thought that everyone could and should be democratic eventually.

Interesting how all these people warned against the excesses of liberalism and it fell on deaf ears for hundreds of years.

Mr. Ramaswamy, I’m a huge fan and supporter. Ready, willing and able to support you. Enjoy your comments and agree in principle with almost everything you are saying and promoting. That said, for me you are certainly smarter, wiser and have more energy than either of our two options. Yet, as you have seen, this process is warped and perverted to its core. When I observe who the GOP wanted to lead them they clearly supported an inferior individual over you or any other fine eligible persons. Sad, but fact.

Observing Trumps response to you was very disappointing but anticipated based on his character. He’s so arrogant he actually thinks he can dethrone this bureaucracy. They will eat him for lunch just as they did in his first reign. One thing both parties agree 100% on is; “no term limits”. Re-election is a close second and they all sold their souls to special interests and the money associated with same.

Having had a couple of opportunities as a businessman to interact with the government, learned quickly, the interest or objective isn’t close to the best available option, saving money. It’s more focused on protecting departmental budgets, job security, compliance with guidelines all the while protecting their fiefdom. You and Trump think like businessmen. There are none of those behind the hollowed halls. Justice, truth fairness, best interest of constituents are all dreams. Attorneys run the place, need I say more. They are critical and needed for society but allow me to end with a quote by a wise man: “Woe to lawyers! For you weigh men down with burdens hard to carry, while you yourselves will not even touch the burdens with one of your fingers”.

The officers of the court have destroyed justice, fair-play and truth with their own form of rules and interpretations. The guilty walk free, while the innocent are incarcerated, all at their whelm with no application of justice, all to preserve their arrogance and rule, lording it over the many. Presedence has replaced logic and justice. They no longer can define truth or a gender (woman), all to satisfy their personal opinions.
