The Enterprise B has a stunning looking bridge
ОтветитьWho in Starfleet decided to give Cameron command of a starship anyway? Did anyone there see what he did to his dad's Ferrari?
ОтветитьIn Star Trek V, where Kirk was on a trip out in the woods with Bones and Spock, he told them he knew he would be alright because his friends were there, and he knew that when his time came, he would be alone.
ОтветитьI love the detail that while Captain Ruck is still a naive untested captain Kirk's instinct is to immediately take action when they recieve the distress call hence why he can't keep still.
ОтветитьI love how Kirk was just itching for an opportunity to jump in, but he didn’t wanna overstep his boundaries. Despite the terror of the situation, he absolutely lived for that kind of thing.
ОтветитьCaptain John Harriman... has to be the only star fleet captain. Shrugged at for losing james t kirk. How sad for his career
ОтветитьSuch a good film.
ОтветитьNever seen soren as the bad guy,no one was dying from his wave but rather going to there idea of happiness.
ОтветитьIt looks more a Star Treck convention than Starship inauguration
ОтветитьWhy so quiet?
ОтветитьBefore all the Kurtzman/Kelvin dross
ОтветитьThat's all the press had to report on? Hmm. Slow news day.
ОтветитьDude, there's that curley red headed Starfleet officer who seemed to have contradicted time and space by serving onboard the USS Bozeman, and now the USS Enterprise B, lol.
ОтветитьI watched this movie for the first time yesterday and thought the way they killed off Kirk was a blatant disregard for the original cast, movies and series.
Almost like he was kicked off that mountain lol
Cameron as Captain
ОтветитьKirk really wanted to relieve him of command, but he did the right thing and saved everyone onboard that ship. Only Picard compares with that kind of sacrifice.
ОтветитьSoooo good!
ОтветитьTuvok was there
ОтветитьThe Excelsior class' transporter system was a beast: Scotty beamed 47 people within 6 seconds, and they imply they could have beamed more!
ОтветитьNever tell kirk to take a seat hes the goat!❤
ОтветитьRespect to Captain Harriman.
He was smart and mature enough to realize he was in over his head, understaffed, and under equipped, he knew lives were depending on him, he knew he had a living legend standing on his bridge, so he swallowed his pride and relinquished command to Kirk. Even though Kirk died, Harriman may have saved many more people by casting his ego aside.
Back in 1996, I was working out one day at the local ‘Y’. There were not too many people there that day, but I saw Alan Ruck on one of the machines right next to me. Having worked in NYC, I came across celebrities all the time, so it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary. Anyway, we said hello to each other, and started talking about this and that. I told him that I liked his work, and he was grateful, but said most people just knew him for Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Without missing a beat, I looked at him and said sarcastically, ‘F*ck that shit-you were Captain of the Enterprise!’ His laughed out loud, and we would talk from time to time at the gym. I hope you’re good Alan. Thanx for being a regular guy.
ОтветитьYou know in hindsight Scotty's line "Is there something wrong with your chair," has a totally new meaning now. As a kid I took it as the fact Kirk keeps standing up and the audience chuckles, but now it can be taken that "your chair" has double meaning with regard to the center seat. A Starship Captain should never hesitate as Harriman did. Ready or not, "Risk is part of the game,"...
ОтветитьI always think about the doctor not being on board, the torpedoes not being loaded, etc. James T Kirk got spoiled in Scotty and everyone would have been there or tried even for the maiden voyage.
ОтветитьWhen Scotty says "Aye." you know that was the last time anyone from Kirk's old crew ever saw of him again.
Ответитьin the words of EASTWOOD THE TIME TRAVLLER that day in 94 at the paramount (redacted) WILLIAM SHATNER.
ОтветитьParamount should produce and release an entire 13 episode, one season only Star Trek series named “Star Trek: Tuesday”.
ОтветитьWell, one thing that came out of this: new starships probably never left space dock without key systems installed
ОтветитьCameron was not ready to run this ship, he barely had processed standing up to his dad after him and ferris wrecked his car.
ОтветитьI never noticed until now that Tim Russ ( Tuvok ) was on this same bridge.
ОтветитьThe guy totaled his old man's Ferrari ... and they are entrusting him with the command of a STARSHIP??
ОтветитьHow they got Cameron to do this…..
ОтветитьEVEN in the future the Media will be a pain in the a*s.
ОтветитьInitially, they were just going to have Shatner be in the first 15 minutes of the movie on the Enterprise B and Bill said that didn't make any sense that he would be the only one there. And he fought the producers to get Walter Koenig and Jimmy Doohan in the movie which was pretty easy because everyone liked them behind the scenes to begin with and Shatner always thought they were too underrepresented in the six movies.
Ответить"I take care of it... Scotty, keep things together till I get back."
"I always do."
Its funny and heartbreaking at the same time how at ease and casual they both sound. They've been through much worse and came out on top every time, this entire situation with the Energy Ribbon is basically "Tuesday" to them. They had no idea that Kirk's Plot Armor will not work this time.
Also, its probably a coincidence, but Scotty was the first and last of the OG Crew Kirk talked to in the movies. Took me forever to realize this.
Thank you for doing such a thorough job with this video.
Ответить“Our course today will take us out beyond Pluto . . . “ I take it by the 23rd century Pluto is worth mentioning again when referred to as a landmark identifying departure from the planetary solar system?
ОтветитьStarboard ships hull is buckling...
Ship on port side of screen implodes???🤯
Earth, solar system, heart of the Federation. . . Distress call 3 light years away. . ONLY SHIP IN RANGE!!!
ОтветитьShatner could have continued playing kirk here. He was only in his 60s abd stull looked like Kirk. Too bad they wasted his talents.
ОтветитьWatching this in the theater as a 10 year old kid, I was on the edge of my seat. Watching this 29 years later as a combat veteran, I'm just flabbergasted how much time they waste pausing for dramatic effect.
ОтветитьWho put Cameron Frye in charge of the Enterprise?
ОтветитьThis movie will be available Tuesday
