I got a second hand pc. I7 9700k gtx 980... i both overclocked them and i got 20-25 fps more... i dont mind if it breaks... i have a good time.. gta on ultra 45fps and now with overclock 75 fps
ОтветитьTell me you don't know anything without telling me you don't know anything
ОтветитьOn New gpu’s, overclocking does absolutely nothing. I’ve seen a lot of tests with new nvidia gpu’s and the best you get is an extra 1-3 fps. So you get an extra 1 fps but a higher electricity bill. Much better to under volt. I overclocked my 4070 and I saw absolutely zero fps boost and I saw was constant crashes and each crash was gpu related.
Ответитьbs video
Ответитьlol been running my gpu overclocked for 3 years with an additional 30% fps gain and no issues.
ОтветитьBest thing you can do IMO is slightly undervolt and then overclock the GPU. I found that you can get better sustained boost clocks at lower voltages, meaning better performance at the same or less power draw.
ОтветитьCant trust someone that can't pronounce stability.
ОтветитьBS
ОтветитьLol Silly Monkey 🐒 Brain running slow?
ОтветитьMaybe correct your grammar first
ОтветитьAs long as you don't touch voltages then you're fine. Most modern RAM straight up requires overclocking to get the advertised speed and so it's no different for a GPU. My MSI motherboard has overclocking for idiots built right in one for CPU and one for XMP RAM.
ОтветитьIt don’t void the warranty unless u change the voltage. And u don’t even need to do that just take the core clock and memory clocks up then change fan speeds so it stays extra cool 🤣🤣
ОтветитьIf you overclock really bad and your gpu overheats it's probably just going to crash the system with modern GPU's. While it is easy to mess that up, most modern GPU's have many safety functions in place to prevent overheating like thermal throttling, so chances are youre not even going to reach a "dangerous" temp
Ответитьit’s kind of dangerous and also my GPU will not last long I think it will probably last for two years.
Ответитьbackground song name??
ОтветитьOverclocking using AMD adrenaline software is good for the GPU otherwise it would not be able bro
ОтветитьPlease what i need to do if if i overclocked my gpu and it s not working
ОтветитьGpus automatically overclocks themselves. I had a GPU that was rated for 1750mhz boost but would go up to 2040mhz without a manual OC and 2085mhz with Manuel OC.
I would say a reason not to is that you probably won't get a big speed difference unless you were doing liquid nitrogen.
i have a gtx 1050 2gb card that's been running a harsh overclock for about 3 years now and it's perfectly fine, and before it was in my hands it was heavily used and was kept a lot hotter than it should have been. overclocking is fine, if it's stable and your card isn't overheating you'll be just fine. no reduced life span unless you let it get too hot for too long.
ОтветитьWhich Manufacturers will be good for Rx 6600 Sapphire, Gigabyte, Asrock, Swift or any...?
ОтветитьThis was a L, but not surprised since you are a bears fan
ОтветитьBullshitting lil bro
Ответитьi just enjoy any game at low-med settings. I just wanna be enjoyed
ОтветитьIt’s sad that he is giving tips not knowing what he’s talking about not only do most people not extreme over clock. It doesn’t go to warranty unless you take it apart And mod it.
ОтветитьMan dont listen to this guy, all I hear is bs
ОтветитьLmao dumbest argument ever. Your card might last a decade and overclocking won’t even take a year out of it’s life span and people upgrade their components every few years……might as well get the most out of it, dumbass.
ОтветитьI don’t like coil whine thats why
ОтветитьEven if overclocking DID void your warranty, how would the manufacturer even know?
Also as long as your temps are good, overclocking won't really hurt your card at all.
Overclocking is fine as long as the temps are stable
ОтветитьFind a good undervolt for your gpu, get same or better performance and use less energy.
ОтветитьMy Warrenty expired lol overclock is less effective in new components like rtx 30 series. BUT slowly increasing your gpu. You will find a safe sweet spot, especially stress testing them you will find where it all runs fastest and still stable. ( good rule if your pc crashes or msi does and you found the max power before it crashes, dial it back by 50 from there and you will have a safe and effective way of overclocking your gpu without running its lifespan down by much.) Make sure there is no dust. Dust + heat equals pc death. 🔥
ОтветитьOC'ing with proper cooling is fine. Without proper cooling, heat would shorten the lifespan.
Hopefully, people who watch this short reads the comments as someone might be misinformed and be afraid to overclock at all.
undervolt + oc for life, basically minmaxing but for hardware.
ОтветитьWarranties are kinda don't ask don't tell. As long as you don't mention it, and don't send it back in actual pieces, you're fine.
Also the hardware has safety measures in place: hard caps on power draw, throttling speed when too hot, and being underclocked with extra voltage intentionally from the factory.
OC shouldn't shorten the life of your GPU so long as it's cooled properly. Excess heat is what kills a GPU quickly no matter what you're doing.
ОтветитьMy gpu runs at 2%
ОтветитьIt's his opinion, and he is right about extreme.
Ответитьevga cards doesnt void, add waterblocks?no problem
ОтветитьJust use the Nvidia auto overcloacking it doesn't shorten the life span and is also still covered by the warranty
Ответитьif you have an older gpu yeah overclocking is useful but newer GPUs really don't need it such as rtx 3000 and 4000 series or RDNA 2 and 3
Ответитьits not that it will shorten it but the amount of heat that comes out will destroy your gpu if you cant cool it.
ОтветитьWhen I buy a new gpu, first thing I always do is turn the temp throttle limit all the way up to as high as the software lets me. So basically in GeForce software I turn it from 80 to 90
ОтветитьThis video is full bs
Ответитьkilling components is hard af
tried myself
vrm protection can't by bypassed unless you shunt mod
if something fails it can be still reverted back
Overclocking does not void your warranty
ОтветитьWhy are you telling sir? 🤔
ОтветитьBS you can overlock without touching voltage which has ZERO RISK.
ОтветитьOverclocking should be seen as a sort of “sport” and less of a practical way to improve computer performance. Most cards that can handle the increased heat are already overclocked from the manufacturers. I choose stability and quietness over the 5% increase in performance that custom overclocking can provide.
Even with mild overclocks, if you play competitively, even 1 crash during a competitive game is not worth it.
Increasing the frequency of any chip regardless of your voltage settings will always cause higher power draw, increased heat, and require gpu fans to work harder to compensate.
I used to overclock pretty frequently as a hobby, but I was more interested in the “sport” of refining the equipments settings and pushing its capabilities.
I’m gonna over lock my pc 60 to 85 or 80
ОтветитьBro... Are you serious? First of all, overclocking isn't legally binding to voiding warranty because there's absolutely no way of proving a card or CPU has been overclocked. Second: Yes, it reduces the lifespan of the card... For a out 5% of it at most? Memory and GPU core will probably last more than the GPU fans and the computer you use.
The only way of damaging your card while overclocking is if you overclocknthe memory too much and inderclock the core frequency, making the core run colder while the memory runs hotter... And since fan speed depends on GPU core temperature the fans would be running at low rpm, effectively making the memory run hotter and hotter. That will reduce the memory lifespan from maybe 10 or 12 years to 6 or 7 years (all these numbers depend on kind of memory, GDDR6X tend to reach higher temps).
In short, overclocking will not really kill your card. The regular lifespan of a card tends to be way longer than their relevancy time (i.e. a 2012 card still working in 2022 is not relevant at all, it's too slow to be useful in most escenarios).
My wife's nephew is still playing many hours a day with a RX 580 I gave him a few years ago, and that card has been overclocked since 2017 when I got it. I configured his system and he's still using it overclocked. No degradation in performance.
Now, I have to admit that depending on the architecture there may be no much benefit from overclocking. If you overclock a RDNA2 card, the gains are so minimal in the lower end cards that the increase in temperature are not worth it.
