shame its such a mess now compared to back then

the 301 bus....
gateshead to the seaside for 5pence when i was a kid before they built the metro

That last pic with the bright red bus, looks a lovely day, from better times! Shame the UK's traditions are being lost to I**igrants now.

Makes you sad. Was thriving back then. Loved the train station. Looked amazing and the trams. Clean transport. Bring it back

It is a shame Gateshead high street is a right mess compared to back then
