Just got mine today. It's a very nice knife. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something new and a little different.

Would you choose the Iridium or heist at the end of the day?

Have you had a chance to handle the Titanium/20CV version of the Iridium? I managed to get one of those and it has blown me away!

I just picked on of these up, gorgeous knife.

I saw the bar lock and it reminded me of my benchmade I lost.. seems like almost as good of a knife for a third of the price

completely agree. Good review. I added grip tape to the scales for texture. Also agree that having a cross bar lock with only a right handed bias position for the pocket clip is beyond stupid. Several new CKRTs meet that description.

Can this be flicked open once the lock is engaged?

Really need to get my hands on one of these. Probably one of the very few knives in the last 20 years that can really fulfill the promise of being a budget alternative to Benchmade 940. Looks great!

Just held one of these in hand and bought it 10 seconds later. Don’t get a bugout. Get two of these.

I got one, based significantly on this video. I do like it. Cool blade design and sharpest out of the box I’ve ever bought. Best cross lock action of the three I own. Practically opens and closes itself. Only two complaints with the scales fit and finish; the open slot for reversing the pocket clip ant the scale obstructing half the lanyard hole. Why have a lanyard hole if you’re going to cover it up? Speaking of the pocket clip, it is secure but unobtrusive.

I can’t find this knife in stock anywhere! Is something going on with it? Too many good knives have been discontinued, I am hopeful that is not the case.

The knife center exclusive AD20.5 uses D2 and it’s way more expensive than this knife. The original AD 20.5 uses AUS 10a. I’m not sure which is better, AUS 10a or D2. I honestly don’t have a problem with D2. I still like D2. I’m happy 8cr isn’t being used here.

I just ordered this one. I’m actually really excited to check this out. I really love the crossbar lock and happy to see other knife makers using this lock. As far as the steel, I don’t mind D2, it’s way better than 8cr so yeah I’m ok with it. Steel usually doesn’t bother me because I usually don’t need super steels for my daily use. Most people don’t.

I saw the Iridium at a local gun shop. I liked the appearance, then when I held it and flicked it open and closed… put my money down. 😄. I see it as kind of a budget Bugout killer.

They need to step up their quality control/fit and finish game. 3 flaws on mine, small dimple on the show side scale, blade not centred and come on NO lock tite on the pivot screw. Small things but pretty hard to get those wrong. Wicked design but for the price with those flaws there’s about 50 other knives I could instead.

This is really next level for Kershaw, I've liked them for a long time. They're generally pretty decent, and honestly if I break it through hard use or have to surrender it to security (because I don't want to walk back to the car) I don't really mind. I'll go get a new one later.

D2 doesn't bother you? GTFOH! D2 is one of the toughest alloys when hardened. I'm a 20+ year tool and die maker. D2 is the standard period. Some are better, some are worse but it's what everything is compared to.

Don't know why anybody still makes knives with thumb studs, flippers are so much easier to use.

Really appealing design imo. But I would have made the top spine of the blade a bit less convex, maybe a bit more like the benchmade bugout blade contour. Or maybaybe completely straigt from the beginning of the jimping towards the beginning of the swedge in the front. I'm considering to buy and modify the blade slightly.

Thinking about getting this.
I just got a CRKT CEO for my new semi-office job but it's so tiny and kinda crappy.
I just need something to hold me over until people know me well enough that I can go back to my fixed blade without getting into HR trouble, but I can't deal with the CEO

I am looking forward to checking this out soon. Only two complaints, wish it was American made or confirmed American steel and I do not like the thumb tabs. They seem to get caught when inserting or removing from my pocket. A sleeker design has to be possible. However, I love the Kershaw line and find the action on their knives pleasing.

SOG's bar lock stages the blade. I think it's the only one that does. Make for lightening fast deployment and retraction. Great for fidgeting.

Great knife for the money. The only thing I would change is adding a blanking plate for the unused pocket clip spot. The unused side is a bit of an eyesore for such a clean looking knife.
