This Woman had a Cryptic Pregnancy

Humm? She has a better body then me when I was pregnant I knew it very well I had a baby inside of me😅

I had a normal pregnancy, found out right away. When it came time to give birth I had an epidural so I didn’t feel my baby come out of me. She was born with two pushes. And when the doctor put her on my chest, I got the weirdest sensation that he had just taken a baby from somewhere I couldn’t see and put her on me. This sensation lasted only a split second and several minutes all at once. It was a combination of not having felt her exit, her being born so quickly and easily, and the surrealness of suddenly being a parent for the first time. I hadn’t really grasped I was going to have a baby till she was in my arms. And I had known she was coming for 9 months. I can’t imagine how this girl felt when that baby came out. So glad they’re doing well.

Cryptic pregnancy can be really dangerous-both mother and baby can have complications from unassisted pregnancy and possibly unassisted delivery, followed by economic and psychological difficulties entailed by unprepared birth and childrearing.

I went through menopause two years before I got pregnant didn't know i was until I was already 14 weeks drs were like you sure you didn't have a period i said yes even my paperwork showed no periods for almost 2 years they couldnt believe it especially because i stayed at 95 pounds for majority of my pregnancy

1 on 2500 is a lot! I had no clue it was this common! So, we have around 10k births a day in the US, so that’s 4 babies everyday that are born without mom knowing she was pregnant!

I thought cryptic pregnancy was when the body acts like it’s pregnant when it’s not

So my question is, did she not feel the baby moving?

I don’t know I always feel like these stories are people in denial about being pregnant. Especially when it’s a young woman still living at home with her parents. Babies don’t lie still during pregnancy, you feel them move. I can almost get not knowing right away but not knowing until the day you give birth just seems unrealistic.
Whatever the case it’s good that her baby was born healthy.

Does 1 in every 2,500 cases not feel very rare to anyone else? 😭 that’s like one in every high school

I knew i was pregnant...i was 61...ive carried for ten years so far..im 71 and miserable...nothing shows up on ultra sound..i have big belly...cravings...went from 100 lbs to 170... Drs say im not...was i support group with others like me...i dont know what to do.

I bled heavy like my periods every month . Just the first 3 months and had period cramps .
Even with my second baby , I spotted a little and had period cramps . I even mentioned it to my Dr. , he said but you aren’t , your Pregnant .

I found out i was 7 months pregnant with my son ..6 weeks later he was born.
It happens more than we think.

That's how it was with my son. I had no idea I was pregnant till one day I looked in the mirror and was like wow I'm a bit bloated I wonder why. My husband was like why don't you take a pregnancy test. I was like sure why not. The test was positive and when we went in to the ultrasound they tell me you know you are 21 weeks pregnant right? I was like what. What do you mean I'm 21 weeks pregnant thas not possible we just had our daughter back in March. They go yeah you are 21 weeks pregnant. I was mind blown because I was exclusively breastfeeding and still got pregnant.

I here cause I love these stories. I had my tubes tied three years ago because I was stuck in a unhealthy relationship and I was scared to leave. I didn’t want to have anymore kids by this abusive man. However three years later I feel like I found my soul mate. And he treats me like a queen and he have took my kids in as his own and he amazing with them. He doesn’t have any kids and I really want to experience this again with him but it’s so expensive to have it reversed. I’m literally praying that i can conceive and carry through a miracle . Chances are so small but I’m hoping . But congratulations mama

My ex mother in law had 4 children and her last pregnancy was just the same as this. Went into the hospital and came out to tell her husband he was a father and he says no I brought my wife in for Abdominal pain maybe kidney stones they said no she had a child she had no idea And had 4 previous normal pregnancies this last one was a huge surprise and took them all by storm

It's fortunate that the baby is healthy and normal. It doesn't seem to have fetal alcohol syndrome or anything.

Wow this is quite something, I wasn’t a Cryptic pregnancy per my mother’s recollection. I do remember my mother saying she had a cycle/spotting for most of the pregnancy which she worried a lot & I turned out fine.

The human body is quite something, to think what any woman would give to not gain weight, swell, waddle and all during gestation knowing they’re pregnant. Bless this child & I would just love an update God willing in a few years. 😇 👼
