Just wrote an explanation about the seed button and then internet connection crashed... let's try again!

There is no true randomness in software development. This means that no randomly generated number is truly random, they are in fact pseudo-random. To generate a random number, the random function needs to have an input, a starting point. That is the seed. The same seed will have the same exact pseudo-random output. For instance, imagine the seed is 1 and the output are 4 "random" numbers 14, 21, 3 and 9. If you use the same seed, you will get 14, 21, 3 and 9 again. Setting seeds is useful either to guarantee the random generation is always the same (e.g. testing) or to guarantee it never is.

I don't know why the developers added the seed button there. It's confusing from a user experience perspective as you made clear. Without knowing more details it doesn't make much sense to me but the purpose should be to ensure a new "set" of randomness is available at the click of a button for some reason. Hope this helps.

Altiverb! For some reason that one always sounds amazing! I really like this one, and Slate's version as well(Also by Liquidsonics with many of the same ones on seventh heaven{from the Bricasti}, but some from others as well Like EMT, Eventide, TC Electronic 6000 series, and Lexicon so you get em all which is nice}which is a better plugin IMO because it gets all the great reverbs over the years all in one! And the quality is pretty good as well so....still not as realistic as Altiverb though! But with Altiverb your gonna pay! Mucho! Eats CPU as well so it's a buss verb for sure! But you want the best??? None of them can recreate more realistic spaces than Altiverb! Not one of em! Doesn't mean they arent good, just not realistic! And that realism can put your sound over the top, or make it sound cheap IMO! I think PRO TOOLS stock reverb sounds better than Waves RVerb! And I started out using that verb as my first verb ever used so I know it inside and out! But It sucks tbh! They desperately need to revamp their older lineup IMO! Update the programming! They've still got some good guys there, as their Abby Road Saturator was top notch! And their CLA compressors are still my go to compressors, even over UAD ones! The Waves ones have more Analog Mojo to em! But their verbs suck sac!

How close would liquid sonic be to let's say Valhalla vintage verb? since, price difference is massive but, idea behind both of these is to create that vintage reverb that was popular and sought after to this date. While seventh heaven is an emulation with added features and Valhalla vintage verb is algorithmic with those old hardware in mind but not emulation of any.

All these reverbs sound great, but if you can I would definitely go for the more expensive one, but for someone on a budget, like me, the cheap one is great for the price.
