I never comment on your videos bc I am such a noob coder (first year of CS degree) but considering the concept your pushing, I felt inspired to put myself out there! Hello from Long Beach - been enjoying the content!
ОтветитьWow an iPhone is filming this video!!!
ОтветитьHey man I know you are a self-taught programmer, but you stated that you went back to school. Do you have an associates or a bachelor's or anything like that?
ОтветитьDo you think I can work as a programar while I'm studying mechanical engineer?
ОтветитьI dont like most content on you tube about coding because there is so many bs out there like be a developer in 3 months and so on, but this video is one of the best and realistic videos I have seen. It is so true imposter syndrome. Yup, just put it out there, we all start from somewhere. Thanks.
Ответитьkeep goin mannn
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьIs it easier to find a coding job in a big city, where there are lots of jobs, but also a lot of competition, or in a small town, where there is not much competition, but not many jobs as well?
ОтветитьImposter syndrome is hard to handle for me, but I still do programming. I also want to socialize with other people, but I can't, because of the pandemic, Idk where to talk with other programmers?
ОтветитьG.E.M.O. good enough move on
ОтветитьThank you so much for this advice, Andy. I've been studying programming for a while now, I'm still feeling that imperfection thing. I'm currently building out small projects to get comfortable with the languages that I've learned. Again, thank you for this and all the videos you put out about software development and your own journey. I truly enjoy your words of encouragement and guidance.
Ответитьjust finished a boot camp assignment, thinking "good enough!"
so this video is exceptionally well-timed for me lol
You're like a smart older brother taking care after his younger siblings.
ОтветитьThe most motivated speach ever!!!
Ответитьthank you, i really needed this right now
ОтветитьQuality is fine. Hadn't noticed any difference.
ОтветитьHonestly, I think we all know that sometimes, quantity comes first. On the other hand, I think most of us are scared to realise that and thats why we needed to hear this from someone like you. Keep going, love the content!
ОтветитьJust ship it is great advice! I need to push myself and this video made me to do just that!❤️
ОтветитьThat's a brilliant advice. If only I could follow it, I feel like my life would be so much easier.
ОтветитьI needed this. I legit just made a simple todo app that’s capable of CRUD and it works fine I haven’t ship it because I’m sweating the small details but I think I’m going to ship it as it is.🤷♂️
ОтветитьAndy great advice as always - lol but please no more shakey cam - my poor brain 🤣
ОтветитьThe shaking video is a case made for, "Ummm, let me wait on this before I ship it..."

ОтветитьHey Andy- I’m a current healthcare professional that is looking to transition into tech at some point. I would love to pick your brain if you don’t mind I’ve been watching your videos for a while but I think I’d love to ask a few questions I have in particular. Let me. Know how I may reach out thanks
ОтветитьThank you, I needed to hear this. I'm currently building my second .NET MVC Web App for my BootCamp and I'm making broken spaghetti code. My grand vision has fallen apart and I restarted from scratch.
ОтветитьI needed this so badly, thank you.
ОтветитьWhat's the author's name? Wasn't able to catch it from the video, thanks!
ОтветитьGood advice for older developers too! Thank you, im just starting to do this with my hobby projects
ОтветитьIm so thankful for your channel i know no one or have anyfriends that are devs so your videos are really great advice!
ОтветитьGood advice, I'm too much of a perfectionist for my own good
ОтветитьYou just made my day, thanks
ОтветитьActually this video came out better 😂
ОтветитьYou really feel like a bigger brother with experiences and like you're taking care of your younger siblings 😁
ОтветитьHey Andy, I would really like to know your opinion on Udacity. It is kind of expensive, is it a good place to get started ? They claim to offer career assistance.
ОтветитьGood one!!!!
ОтветитьAKA “baby steps”
ОтветитьI never once stopped to think if my code was perfect before uploading to GitHub or on my portfolio, I just knew it worked and I am always able to explain how it works.
ОтветитьAlways valuable
ОтветитьVery true philosophy. Thanks Andy.
ОтветитьYou mean that there's going to be times when I'm learning this is it's NOT going to be tough??
Okay, if you say so...
I would estimate 90% of my projects would benefit from me just trying more solutions, even if I didn't understand exactly how they worked, and also documenting those choices and the reasoning behind them better. I think I would have finished things faster, learned new languages faster, and also gotten a broader understanding of how stuff worked. And by documenting all that, I would have been better equipped to make different, better choices the next time.
ОтветитьI love you 😭
ОтветитьAndy speaking of the a supposed bad video quality....
Me Streaming In 240p....
Could listen to this without the video ..
Thank yoooou.
This is exactly what i needed to hear!
Ответитьthank you, i was pressuring my self ........................
ОтветитьHi Andy, please what desktop and labtop amd specs do you recommed?
ОтветитьWhat do you think of the advice I laid out in the video?
Ответить
